Let's see, 300mbs, that's less than 5 minutes to download for a typical connection. People keep wanting to compare it to MSs day 1 patch which is said, by MS, to be 15mins. That's with no reference to what they assume our download speeds to be.
I really don't see the point of complaining when they both are supposed to have background downloading anyway. I'd be more concerned with a game needing a day 1 patch than the console.
You guys gotta be kidding me, Forza has extreme gloss and super bright colors making it look cartoonish. It's a style choice and there are obviously fans of that look here. BUT the road side environment looks like crap, the sky might as well be a jpeg image and theirs no weather change whatsoever. The reason why Forza fans "never look at the roadside" is because they're use to it looking like crap. In other words, in Forza there's nothing worth looking at.

They've been showing these tiny clips daily and this one was the weakest so far. It only thing new it really shows is the number of cars on the track (10) and gives a look at how dense the roadside environment can be.

OMG I forgot how HORRIBLE that use to be. It annoyed me most on the first MotorStorm. It was like no matter how perfect I raced a lap, all the short cuts and boosting did nothing because as soon as I got a lead on the AI they'd suddenly be right on my a22 again just a few seconds later. Every 1st place win I got was "a close one".
I know it was to keep it difficult, stop it from being boring and cause tense action but realistically all it did was make me feel l...
So there's two issues:
1. Adam is complaining that he has to go to a special event to review Sonys new hardware and it's first party titles.
2. Youtube is removing all game content that isn't uploaded by the developers essentially putting some game sites (that rely heavily on it) out of business or crippling their ability to network/be noticed and their revenue streams.

I don't think so, haven't seen the metal knack leave or wander far from the normal knack during the co-op play. That might just be knack related though because knack isn't "split screen" co-op.
On a split-screen co-op game like fighting, racing, shooters where you and your buddy can separate to tackle different objectives at the same time it'll likely work like that.

Just think about a game like CoD: No more split screen, you each get to play on your own tv.
900p at 60fps is definitely acceptable, pixels may not be everything but it's nice to not have the image stretched as far. I'm okay with 900p-1080p but seeing any game release on PS4 at 720p would be somewhat disappointing considering the plethora of other titles that are all 1080p already.
CoD looks last gen so I was initially surprised to hear the rumor of it not running 1080p natively but then (today in fact) I was reminded of Crimson Dragon, the arcade title launching with the X1 that no one seems to be talking about. It's 720p as well and it's not doing anything that looks graphically taxing. It's basically an indie game (quality wise) and the devs still couldn't get it to 1080p.

I'm fairly certain this "activation" just means the game/system glitched and failed to load your game. It was taking too long so so takes you back to your home screen rather than having you sit there for an unknown amount of time while the game continues to attempt to load.

You can't really play from the disc on X1. All games MUST be installed. I'm pretty sure you can play whiiiile they install but there is apparently no option of not installing. You need the space no matter what if you want to play.
