Does this take into account that Microsoft is running a deal that if you purchase a 360 you get Halo Wars for free?

Would this be tracked similarly to bundles?

Was it your great hope, to comment this afternoon, to cure us, delusional Killzone 2 fans of our incessant need to play the game?

Now that you mention it, rather than have accelerated stick movement, it should have also had an auto-lockon...

Maybe it could have also had double jump, and wall run..

It should have most definitely had a secondary and tertiary fire and could have digitized Vin Diesel for the lead character.

That is a tri...

I actually followed the live blog with Killzone 2 developer Jan-Bart Van Beek who said that Killzone 2 was in development for 3 1/2 years, 1 1/2 for development on the engine, 2 on the game.

http://blog.us.playstation....

And I definitely think that the graphics will get better. One of the ways developers have compensated for the PS3s bottlenecking has be...

These articles are endless, and always full of subjective half truths. The most common one being - Sony is in trouble.

I know that the bulk of the article is devoted to Killzone, but it seems that every line is delivered, laced with doom and gloom.

From reading the article I gleamed that Sony's PS3 is lost and desperately in need of a savior; despite valiant attempts at saving the system in the past, games like MGS4 failed miserably; the PS3 is not as powerfull a...

But it seems like a different scenario with Master Chief.

With Mario, you have a character that essentially saved video games over the years and become a part of every gamer. His quirky itallian stereotypes, his widely expanded - highly approachable universality have helped him to transcend your average videogame character. This has also allowed for him to spread his wing cap into other genres.

With Final Fantasy, you could argue that each iteration is a compl...

I absolutely loved the original Halo. It was fresh, it was fluid, and it was addicting. I spent many nights with friends staying up late playing LAN multipayer over and over and over. The second in the series, while inheritantly not as original or groundbreaking as the first, was still a great game and I enjoyed everything but the Little Shop of Horrors ending. The third, also a good game, didn't feel as solid as the first two... Then the madness began..

If Halo Wars is the...

No offense to Wii owners, but for me it has been lacking in hardcore games since its release and outside of Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime, and maybe No More Heroes, nothing has peaked my interest enough to purchase the system.

However..

Punchout and Super Punchout were some of my favorite games. I just hope that with Wii Punchout they allow you to change to classic controls rather than motion sensing because the wii isn't sophisticated enough to detect the...

It could be that Capcom is using the PS3 as lead, but I would lean more towards the use of their proprietary MT Framework tools that allow initial development on the PC and port to the PS3/360.

Luckily for PS3 owners, Capcom seems dedicated to quality cross platform so Lost Planet 2 should be nicely polished.

I ended up purchasing Lost Planet for PS3 when it came out. I enjoyed it, I hope they make the grapple hook more fluid in the second one.

Of course its coming to PS3/PC!

It has become some sort of delusional tactic of microsoft to pay developers to have them announce releases on their platform with the clause to remain silent about multi-platform support. Its the same thing that happened with the Resident Evil 5 demo - Microsoft claimed that the Demo was 'exclusive to XBL'. At the time Capcom was restricted from discussing details about the demo appearing on the PS3, but guess what, a week later, the exclusive d...

I should have clarified - 'rather than remix a tried and true fighter make your own fighting game that is so "easy" to play.

I agree with the reviews that say Street Fighter IV is easy for newcomers though. (see my other post) Its difficult to master, but anyone can pick it up and be somewhat effective.

Stop remixing games and try to make his own that is so "easy" to play.

I have been playing Street Fighter for years, and I do believe that IV is the most accessible iteration since 2.

Yes there are super/ultra moves, yes there are difficult timing combos; the mark of an enduring fighting game is complex system beneath its easy to play entry point. Street Fighter IV offers this.

I have friends that jumped right in who haven't continued beyond SF2 who felt comfortable with IV. At the same time, players like myself don't feel constrain...

There is no middle ground, either the game is good with a 3 or 4 or it is bad with a 1 or 2. It eliminates the ambiguity of a middle number indicating that it is both good and bad.

It is a bit strange to look at considering we generally see scales measured in 5 or 10.

It used to be, before video games were mainstream, that exclusives weren't weighed as heavily as they are. People never talked about whether Uni-racers was going to move Super Nintendo's or whether Toe Jam and Earl was going to move the genesis. With the price tag going up every year on console/game development however, these game releases are imperitive to the overall success of the 3 gaming giants.

System sellers correlate directly to market awareness. Whether or not Killzon...

Currently Killzone 2 is #8 on Amazon Video Game Best Sellers, with Halo Wars #22.

Whats the point?

Its funny how 2 factors have begun to determine the quality of a game; metacritic score and sales. How has it become that the hobby of video game play has been reduced to such insignificant values.

I remember a little game called Pocky and Rocky for the Super Nintendo. I played the crap out of that game. It was great fun for me, and, at the time, i...

I was thinking earlier about the 2d sidescrolling era. These games had similar graphics, similar X/Y movement, and often identical action (jump on enemy head to destroy them or shoot them with your ball (laser?) gun).

But what set super metroid apart from rocky rodent?

Mood, setting, refined controls/gameplay, pretty graphics.

I am tired of bullet points on the back of a game case. (This game has 46 guns, 2 of which shoot axe-wielding vikings at h...

You mean start making games in addition to Kilzone 2, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, the new ICO game, and Rachet and Clank Future 2?

They have more first party games in development than any other platform; frankly, my wallet weeps at night because of it so I don't mind inconsequential console bonuses like home. -as trivial as they may be at times.

Given how relatively new Home is, I imagine that the support will increase as time goes on. In the begining first party properties will be likely candidates, but even with the recent release of Street Fighter IV, companies like capcom are begining to embrace the idea.

-I was just given a new Street Fighter IV Akuma T-Shirt for use in Home for receiving a difficult trophy. It got me back into home - if only just to check out what the tshirt looked like. (these concepts will con...

I am a big fan of Killer Instinct and if they added characters from other franchises it would completely destroy it. I hated when Master Chief was added to Soul Caliber, everyone I played against would choose him cause they were big Halo fans; it turned the game into a joke.

At any rate, I don't know how well a KI would be recieved in this day and age. When KI came out, it was popular for 2 things, its advanced graphics and insane combos. I'll admit, the characters were prett...
