Actually Heavenly Sword was/is pretty boring. Have you played it recently?

I am the same way. I am FPSed (and 3PSed for that matter) out. Its too bad that anything other than those genres are a dying breed. I pray that Last Guardian is as good as I am hoping it to be.

Really? Feel bad for PS3 kids? I haven't seen the demand for Splinter Cell: Eddie Bauer on the PS3 side. Is this really a hot title on the 360? I have seen more hype for Alan Wake and Reach.

The story is interesting.
The way the story is told is Awful. Absolutely awful. It has Final Fantasy VIII syndrome. It could have been epic. Instead it is a series of made up words strung together with random words thrown inbetween.

I am a big Final Fantasy player. Unfortunately, Square is continuing to emphasize style over substance.
While I enjoy towns/NPC interaction/real shops etc. the removal of these systems weren't a huge distraction and the design choices fit the gameplay of the game. The real issue I have is with the story.

Nothing against the Wii, but it doesn't have the horsepower or the right userbase to run a proper Xeno family sequel. Giant gear battles? Not going to happen. Huge, explorable worlds? Not gonna happen. Mature, complex, and philisophical story? Not gonna happen. Graphics that aren't muddied on an HD tv? Not gonna happen.
I guess I will go back to playing Gears for another 10 years through nostalgia goggles.

A fear that games will move more toward motion control if sheep buy into the rediculous hype.

Its difficult for me not to be hard on nintendo as I have such fond memories of playing their games growing up. Each Nintendo generation looses more and more credability with me. I am sure that there are some that would disagree with me, but Nintendo hasn't made a worthwhile system since the super nintendo. I played the demo as well. It is definitely interesting and I am looking forward to playing the full game when it comes out. For some reason, it gives me a Parasite Eve vibe, which is good.

It was previously stated that the Natal processor would interpret trillions of gestures in a 3d environment. If the camera is taking 30 pictures a second, the 360 would theoretically have to identify motions among more than 30 trillion possibilities. This would have to compromise any game's performance.
