Looking forward to it! Just finished putting together a power PC just for this game!
I've never been much of a console gamer, I prefer PC; but I think I'm going to go ahead and pickup a PS3 in the next month or so. God of War III alone is worth it to me, looks amazing!
How about making multiplayer free like it SHOULD be and opt to pay for those extra services if you really want them?
No, what people can do is protest with their wallets. Thats the only way to get messages through to these people. We should not have to pay to play.
That is exactly where all this is heading. If this keeps up I can even see PC services such as Steam attempting to charge PC games for their service. It's a load of bollocks all around and gamers need to continue to stand up against this behavior. The game was already purchased, there is NO need to pay more just to play it online!
Because for most people, all these little extra "fees" add up to be a lot and it's insane to pay for services you don't want or use, and can access free everywhere else. It's about time people started standing up against this behaviour!
The only game I personally can think of that I might want to play are the Halo ones, but not if I have to pay more money to play them online, that's insane! If I already paid for the fkn game, a non-MMO game, then I should be able to FULLY play it . This is EXACTLY why I will not even consider a 360.
If M$ quit being so damned greedy and quit screwing people by charging them for what should be free, I 'might' actually considering buying a 360. But until that ha...

Just finished building my new PC and mulling over a new PS3 before christmas. I can never say this enough but I WILL NEVER pay to play NON MMO games online. This entire scene has just gotten ridiculous.
This is like watching a digital drug dealer ;) Give an amazing deal, get the credit card numbers, jack the price up and then make it difficult to cancel the auto-renew. You know a lot of people are going to fall for this and end up getting charges they don't want ;)

Other games have plenty of Dedicated Servers to play on.

These kinds of stories are just ridiculous. Every day I'm more and more amazed at the greed of these corporations and keep wondering just how much long gamers are going to stand for it. I guess if a friend buys a new book and then loans it to me then I'm a pirate too by that logic. (and yes, I only buy dvd's & blurays used - prices are insane). Hey maybe they should call everyone that buys a Used Car or borrows a friends car a pirate too??
Not sure if I'm interested in this one yet or not. Will be holding my money to see if they got rid of the virus-like DRM they force installed with Crysis 1. No thanks
Wow. I will never understand why people support Microsoft. Every time I read something like this it makes me glad I'm still a PC gamer.
Not that I care, I'm a PC gamer myself but I won't bother with any of the M$ or EA games anymore.
Still debating on whether to build a new box for this or not. The first one was brilliant but this one is gonna need a powerful system.
Glad I read about this before I started building my new system. I've just cancelled my PreOrders. There's no way in hell I'm going to "Pay" to play a game that limits how I can play it. Fkn game companies are getting greedier and greedier and I'm not going to continue feeding them.
A lot of different examples that would equate to the same logic.
Loaning/Giving a book to a friend
Borrowing a friends car
** Buying a used car!
Buying from Thrift Stores
Pawn Shops
etc. etc.
... all piracy by the same logic ;)
