GoW sold 80% on PS5. So despite being cross gen, it would have sold more than 4 million in 7 days.
Great numbers for sure but this means that first week numbers are not the highest for PS 1st Party games because GoW Ragnarok also sold 5.1 million in first week.

RDR2 released 5 years ago on PS4/Xbox One and it looks better than most of the games today and don't even get me started about the PC version.
GTA 6 will easily look better than Spiderman 2.
I have no doubt that GTA 6 will break the industry when it releases. No matter what Rockstar does in between their releases, they have never disappointed with any of their major release.
Digital Foundry calling it the best looking game this generation is something! Especially given that Phantom Liberty and Spiderman 2 just came recently before.
It's sitting at 89 because of this. PS5 was 90+ without this review and PC version is 92 despite a 5/10 review.

It is one 100 away from being 91 again. Although I have a feeling this is not the first mixed clickbait review we have seen.
I wish I could but I have Sony X90H. The TV is amazing mind you, but since it was the first "PS5 ready" TV launched by Sony, it did not have VRR support on launch. It was added later via patch and it disables local dimming, which was fixed on later models like X90J,K,L etc. VRR is great but no local dimming absolutely destroys the visual quality.

I have a 120hz vrr tv but I keep vrr off in TV and ps5 system settings as it turns off the local dimming in my tv. But when I start Spiderman 2, vrr option seems to be auto enabled with smoothed option.
Should I turn it off? Does keeping it on affect anything?
Spider-Man 2 is definitely the best technical showcase on PS5 especially considering the big open world, insane traversal speed and best ray tracing implementation seen on consoles. Although I do feel that GoW: Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden Westlook better from just pure visual standpoint.

You can't expect a game to match 96-94 meta apple for apple. Different era and different gen. No need to diminish either game's achievement. Arkham City and Spiderman 2 are both amazing sequels that improved upon their already incredible first parts.
