I'm not being critical of Bladestar. I just don't think he knows who Free Radical is, and has probably never played Goldeneye or any of the Timesplitters series.
Go to IGN (One of the few reviewing sources I actually take into consideration sometimes), and check out the reviews for those games and you might have a little more faith in these guys.
I have never had so much fun playing other people multiplayer in any manner as I did with those games. The characters,...
Seperates good developers from great ones.
Continuous support for you product, no matter how good it was to begin with. It's this sense of never being satisfied that other developers could learn from.
That decides it for me. And considering the track record Free Radical has with FPS, I will not be disappointed.
This game is worth $60 because Free Radical made it.
Next question.
That's about all G4 will get from me.
Considering the value of each stock will obviously rise in value after GTA4's release, EA's $26 a share will sound like a joke.
Your days are numbered! You've got 7!
It's got to be pretty hard to even try and tie in 90 missions into the actual storyline. You'd need some writers from Squaresoft to assist with that.
I don't think it will matter to the bulk of players. Besides, I have never played a GTA game straight through. If you get tired of missions you can always just do other stuff. You know, all that stuff GTA is famous for like starting a lemonade stand, driving bike messenger missions, donating to the church, and committing good deed...
Is really on par detail wise as the other characters previously released.
However, it's still cool as hell.
Having "filler missions" sounds great to me. Not that I'm going to enjoy every one of them, but if your going to have to settle with problems in a game, filler missions will be the least of my worries.
As long as the core gameplay works, the GTA environment is still intact, I will be happy as hell. In fact, I consider the online icing on the cake. I was wanting this game long before I even heard it was going to have multiplayer.
Playing it and having it turned off on you.
It was just pure chaos, and I guess not even Konami saw it coming, although I think they could have tried harder considering they had a warning with the Konami ID website itself.
A lot of us stayed up late for this one last night. The anger on this website is more from disappointment and confusion than from actual frustration. That and we were all late for work because we stayed up late!
I wonder if it will even happen.
If it does......there will be blood.
Okay. Stress test conducted. UNSAT. Delay the beta four days and resume in NA and EU. This would be all fine and dandy except for the fact that a lot of people will probably forget this beta exists after the 29th, myself included.
It was in Konami's best interest to squeak this in before GTA4 and have time to fix issues without being rushed. Now not only will they get far less feedback, they'll get far less traffic and less time to fix the issues before the release in mid-June....
They could have at least mentioned an approximate time, rather than leave everyone guessing and waiting impatiently.
THE PATCH!
Another explorer of the past!
Bubbles for you.
Of creepiness.
to me.
There are a few of us here who understand a joke.
