This Konami ID fiasco is going to be the dark cloud of the beta, hopefully.

All it consists of are the regular multiplayer maps with bots while you play capture the flag or team deathmatch. It's very repetitive and boring.
I finished it but only because I've never bought a game I didn't beat.
The only reason I ever put this back in my PS3 is to check out the new mods.
Other than that, I kind of forget I have it. The mic support kind of sucked the fun out of online for me. I don't even know if they ever fixed it. That's how long it's been since I played.

Look. Take it as whing or whatever you want to, but the simple truth is that everything said is pure FACT. The website does not work. Metal Gear Solid 4 is the first of the HUGE PS3 "killer apps" being released this year and there is a beta for it. Who wouldn't want to be a part of it? So rather than prepare for heavy traffic at a site for a needed password used for the beta (that won't even be needed...
Good thing 360 owners don't have to do that.

I think you're referring to the lazy Americans that didn't bother to preorder, or the unfortunate ones who couldn't find the DVD when pre-ordering.
Since about 12:oo EST I've tried at least once an hour and each time I've been shot down.
It's kind of a kick in the face after finally finishing the horrible download of the update 1.01 that took FOREVER.
