Any Australians that can answer why the PC version is even more? Also, is it like this with all PS3 games? I'm only asking because I don't know.
Seems strange considering prices are the same in the U.S.?
But I could have sworn reading that the higher-ups in Universal were also principles of the HD-DVD association. I could be wrong though.
Other than the fact that Sony has ALL of their bases covered.
They have a product for the casual consumers, the hardcore consumers, and the mobile consumers.
Anybody think the PS2 will reach ten years? It might sound like a lot but when the PS2 came out I would have laughed if you told me it would sell like this after 7. Sony seems to have made a lot of important decisions concerning continual support for the PS2 and implementing blu-ray in the PS3.
The one that plays blu-rays.
When they don't even mention HD-DVD in their conference, especially considering it's their baby.
Also, they cut the length from 45 minutes to 30 minutes, and they didn't even allow questions at the end.
Harsh way to start off CES.
That would look dumb and unprofessional on their part making their first decision seem like a mistake.
It's kind of like what Microsoft and Toshiba are probably trying to figure out the best way to say right now.
You won't see any blu-ray companies go HD-DVD exclusive from here on.
How much could a blu-ray player add-on be when stand-alones average over $300?
How many people would even bother to buy that when they could just buy a stand-alone that would probably be the same price?
Big questions that will hopefully be answered somwhat within the next week.
Sony and Toshiba making processor chips. Windows OS in every Vaio. All of these companies work together one way or another. The companies that lose these "wars" probably won't bother dragging things out. It's not like these companies work like fanboys. They don't necessarily have to be against the ropes with no chance to win to give up. They will take the path of least resistance and mass profit.
HD will probably turn mainstream though. People will realize they need H...
Is only $299 here in Norfolk, VA. From the beginning of December until the end of the month the price on blu-ray players had slowly dropped with the Sharp brand having the biggest drop of $100. The Sony blu-ray players are still $350.
Anybody else seeing the same? I will say though that these price drops happened here BEFORE the WB announcement. I wonder if they'll get any cheaper now after the announcement.
It already is the trend for the PS3. A lot of the games now come with game data to reduce load times. I've just never heard of one that big.
$0.01 Just try to find out how much a Betamax is and you'll have your answer.
Most people tend to do it with whatever they buy. I'm not trying to argue but your anger is pointless. It goes both ways and it will never end.
Besides, "gamers" don't have to just be interested in games. Especially considering this actually does relate to a console. It's okay to be interested in other topics. For example, I love college basketball!
Or are you just generalizing people that are happy with this as the same people that were upset with the Paramount deal?
That's what it sounds like your doing when you don't specify.
Definitely not possible.
You read that much.
I don't care what they had to do. It's obvious now that it's been done just how important having WB goes exclusive really was. Even if it is true, that just means it took $500 million to get rid of HD-DVD. If that's what it costs, then so be it. It's not like any of it came out of my pocket.
This isn't even important anymore.
I won't argue about you opinion on what console is doing better because it's obviously your opinion, but to say that one is doing better because it appeals to the larger market and then refer to North America as the larger market is somewhat incorrect.
The market is gaming, not regional gaming. The entire world is the consumer, and whoever is winning the world should be presumed to be doing better.
Bill Gates is definitely not TANOD. Of all the posters on here who we know are TANOD and his multiple accounts, Bill Gates is definitely not one of them.
Just ran out of quarters.
But I agree. Most cell phones already have this and I can think of plenty of other things I would rather have it. I'm sure a few people would find it useful but the majority won't.
Besides, adding plug-in accessories to the top of the PSP makes it a little less "portable."
