@neoandrew
144Hz 1080p monitors are not particularly expensive. Getting above 60fps in modern games at 1080p is not particularly expensive either. Yes, more expensive all together than a stand alone console but you could never compare 1:1 fairly anyway.
Even if HDMI could handle the bandwidth, you cannot unlock the frame rate in any console game that I've ever seen to take advantage of a 144Hz monitor. A fast 60Hz monitor will do just as well.

144Hz; 21:9; Eyefinity; 4k; SSDs; various control options; etc. hardly constitute a couple of steps...
Yo, chill. The excitement comes from a trust in their confidence that they are CAPABLE of pushing it further. Don't take things for granted; though it's not a cure to cancer, making games look and play great is incredibly hard work.

Seems too good to be true. If even 5 match some of the prologue moments I'll be thrilled.
Quiet and D dog FTW!
Damn I'm 60 hours in and only at main mission 15 or so. There are 42 main missions?! Sweeet!
I'm really confused by these relatively small issues in games. I understand that even a small game is a shit ton of work, but why can't the dev implement an unlocked frame rate and ultra-wide monitor support yet modders have it implemented in less than a month?
I like Triss way more than Yen so hopefully this adds a lot. Triss' romance and dialogue was pretty thin.
I played the prologue 4 times over before continuing forward with the game. It was bliss.
Blew my mind playing to for the first time. So good.
This games hour long intro is mind blowing. So, so, so very good.
Exactly why I'm steering away from commercial and movie production work and going back to school for a general science education that I'll take to a mechanical engineering degree or computer science degree or IT work.
The large projects consume you for many years and if it's not already your life almost entirely then you're gonna have a rough time.
I played for an hour and had a great time with no as I put it, "glaring issues". You're being dramatic.
Must be your rig; no glaring issues to report here when using 1080/144Hz monitor.
3440x1440 21:9 support is lacking but that's not unreasonable at this point.
i7-3930k and 980 Ti G1 w/ 16 GB DDR3 @ 1866
Edit: typo
With a game like this, for me anyway, it's more about 120+ frames per second and mouse/keyboard controls over visual fidelity in either direction.
This game is gonna make me cry like a little vagina boy with no gut.
One dislike. Must be Skullface.
We need more Kojimas in the world. Is 1:1 cloning a thing yet?
I'm a very serious gamer with a lot of money invested in tech. Not a huge fan of star wars. Already have 20 hours logged in BF PC. Having a blast, runs great, looks great. First time I've ever bought into a season pass full price off the bat. I trust that part will pay off with lots of new content. And DICE is very good about supporting their software years after release.
