@NecoTehSergal its measured contrast ratio is just under 700:1 in its most accurate picture mode, which is standard calibrated to 120 nits which is brightness level at 17 or so and custom RGB white balance using an X-rite i1 Display Pro colorimeter. At 60Hz refresh mode everything looks fine, but in 144Hz the blacks lighten u significantly. They measure at around .12 (My best LCD is .09 ... While a great gaming monitor for gaming responsiveness, that VG248QE TN monitor's image quality is washed out garbage. I own one. I also own a 65" C7 OLED, LG 34Um95 and a 27" ud68 4k monitor.

@QuePasa87

Yes, I rest the keyboard on my lap. The bed is parallel with the TV horizontally. I have a metal Saitek "Cyborg" mouse pad which rests perfectly flat on my right. My wireless mouse is the SteelSeries Sensei. The keyboard is a Logitech K800.

I just bought a 65" LG C7 OLED and it is connected to my PC and 5.1.2 Atmos surround sound. It's amazing.

I play in bed 7ft away with a wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, metal mouse pad, wireless Xbox One ELite controller 1080 Ti... perfection.

Just bought a Rode NTG-1. It's great.

My main hope is for a meaningful, thoughtful story even if that means one that is utterly depressing.

Hmm. Just sold my 980 Ti and a 1080 I bought and got stuck with (embarrasing story there). Rocking a lowly 1050 Ti to hold me off. Have a 1080 Ti EVGA FTW 3 pre-ordered but maybe I'll wait for Volta. ... It's not liek there are many games out that NEED to be run maxed out at 4k 60 fps. 1050 Ti does just fine at 1080p 60+ on Medium settings.

Can't say I'm keen on supporting such an aggressive update cycle.

I've heard great things about Assetto Corsa's VR, Warthunder, and DCS. I'm so tempted to get a HTC Vive but that price is madness.

Hmm. Thanks!

How are these games? Obviously I can (and am about to) look up reviews, but maybe users here can offer insight not covered in reviews.

This game is awesome! The music alone is worth it! Don't let the odd 30fps cutscenes and 60fps gameplay cap turn you away, it feels and looks smoother than many other games. Obviously the graphics have aged but Bayonetta's ... unique art and frankly sex appeal make up for it in spades, lol.

Running on an i7 - 3930k @ 4.3GHz, 16GB DDR3 @ 1866 and a GTX 1050 Ti at 2560x1440p just fine. (Sold my 980 Ti in prep for an EVGA FTW3 1080 Ti).

On the plus side, if it turns out to be no good overall, that's another $60+ less to spend!

Maybe it has to do with the way these types of RPGs are coded. Dragon Age Inquisition ran and still runs like poo. While BF4 and BF1 run exceptionally fast.

I'll take short and refined over long and dull any damn hour. (In hoping short in this case means short and refined.)

While it's possible that streaming surpasses Blu-ray quality eventually it's currently not even close. Even Blu-ray are heavily compressed compared to the RAW capture of big budget movies. Digital cinema cameras record at around 250 - 500MB/s or more depending on resolution and bit-rate. Which is usually cinema 4k and 4:4:4 lossless RAW video. Movies take up many terabytes of data. Even 50 - 100GB Blu-rays pale in comparison to the full potential of these cameras.

Just showed my lil sis and her BF the game on PC. Running maxed 4k/60 on an LG 4k HDR OLED.

Needless to say, they were very impressed.
