Why not have a standard walk speed, quick sprint speed and an ultra fast, but limited suit speed?
Sure hope my PC can churn at least 40fps solid maxed. Phenom ii x4 955 @ 3.2, Radeon 7970 3gb @ 1125gpu/1575mem, 8GB DDR3 @ 1333mhz
Bale was only acting in a manner the Director desired; maybe it's Christopher Nolan who you should think is terrible, not Christian Bale. An actor may prove to be only as great as the director will allow him to be.
Dat toad . 0_o
No kidding they should focus on game play over graphics, but graphics technology alone doesn't prevent that, in fact it supports that with easier, more user friendly and mainstream development tools. The problem is that its pathetically hard coming up with good story and ingenious game play designs for every single game.. otherwise everyone would be doing it.
I don't even know why I commented; this place sucks for conversation.
What are you talking about Godmars290? Games ARE graphics! There are ugly looking games that are awesome to play and there are visually stunning games that are awesome to play. There are also ugly looking boring/broken games and ugly looking boring/broken great looking games.
Not all great looking movies have great stories and not all movies with great stories look amazing.
Whats with so many people trying to play this high sitting savior of games touting, &q...
I think it's really cool how you've played all games of the future, knowing they are turds.
In case you haven't noticed one of if not the main element to a game is graphics.. just as camera technology is to film; without visuals, you can't implement controls and game play elements.
Just so happens graphic development and progress is the most fascinating, because game play is most interesting.. guess when? While you're actually playing--no...
Just because a game looks real doesn't make it any less of a game..
Unless you do video editing, in which case ensure a minimum of 16gb, optimum of 32gb or more. After Effects eats memory like Fat Bastard from Austin Powers eats chicken and cake.
WTF? Snake would win, no contest..
There's a baby joke here somewhere...
I haven't lost respect by a long shot; it's a tough world and a very tough business/lifestyle. I was merely just disappointed in a title I was never especially excited over to begin with. Lessons learned, then gradually surfacing; we may hope to see better & proper PC support with future iD titles.
I'm more excited over the fact that the effort to make it at least a little different, a little more mature and intelligent is there; they can only improve from here, right?
Lets not forget how ridiculously hard it is to even come up with an intriguing, well crafted story, let alone implement one nicely into a video game, which in itself is a huge undertaking, even without a story.
Probably has everything to do with Blu-ray in the Nextbox.
@Psycho_PS3
I comfortably play my PC in bed 7ft away using a 120hz 46" Sony HDTV. Wireless keyboard and the light weight Saitek Cyborg metal mouse pad solve the "desk only" misconception completely. Valve is even going to release a "TV Mode" catered to folks just like me for Steam.
Damn.. just bought a 7970 back in April.
@PockyKing: In Crysis' defense, that series has had futuristic elements since #1.
Can it now render all our PS3 games at native 1080p?! lol.. one could wish that was possible..
OMG. Looking so very, very sweet.
