Agreed with Fallout 3 hates it at first but it really grew on me I loce tge music I love the world I love the game to bits,

I'm a huge fan of the NES and SNES i've owned every single Nintendo console, but the WII is my least favourite console of there's mainly because I despise motion control, whether it's move, kinect, or the Wii mote, mainly because it didn't really add anything to the core gaming experience
Most of those games were pretty mediocre I mean Mario Kart really the most overhyped game franchise ever.
The PS1 was easily the better console of that era, if you were a fan of RPG's the N64 was pretty much irrelevant, if you were fan of fighting games the N64 was almost irrelevant. The PS1'S library was simply stronger.
So in other words there will be a constant stream of games on the PS4, no more drought periods common in a consoles lifetime, this is superb news
I agree with you to an extent but you need to take into consideration that we are pretty late into the generation, and while those games did get great reviews they weren't big AAA, 90+.
Sleeping Dogs although a spiritual successor to True Crime is a new ip released late into the generation. Hitman was released in COD's month and was the first Hitman in 6 years.

That alone says so much more about the success/power of the brand than the failure/weakness of it.
I'd say motion control was mostly a miss, in the end it was a different way of playing games NOT a better way of playing games.
For Example at best the wiimote just worked it was never amazing or mind blowing at best the controls just worked even still only a handful of games in the consoles entire library utilised it properly and even then it added hardly anything to the core experience.

Honestly I thought Killzone 3 was horrendous the campaign is essentially a 4 hour rail shooter with a horrible story,
The online was a unbalanced mess of a COD clone not to mention the whole package is lacking in content with no survival, horde modes, vehicles, forge map editors, only 6 maps.
For some strange reason the graphics are actually inferior to killzone 2 , in fact I recently went back to play KZ2 and the game has held up pretty well to my surprise ...
