Well that was a very civil and rational response, good job.

I bloody well hope not, it would screw the perfect equilibrium of the consoles, competition drives better games and service, gamers win in the long-run.

I lol'd when when I read "-dancing on bodies" because Socom is supposed to be a serious tactical shooter, the thought of someone doing the river dance, in the middle of a warzone is hilarious

If you playesd Socom 2 you'll know it's anything but generic

Look at how Mario Kart was marketed, I remember in the UK they barely showed any gameplay, It was just a family sitting on a couch, getting overly exited, it appealed mainly to casuals.

The question is are those casuals gonna buy a Wii-U ?

4688d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

HA and you expect Bayonetta 2 to sell on the Wii-U ?

I'm not bashing Nintendo,Wii-U or it's owners owners, but historically only Nintendo games sell well on Nintendo platforms, look at hack and slash games on the Wii like No More Heroes, Madworld, Red Steel 2 those games barely or even failed to scratch Half a Million, and this is on an install base of 100 million consoles.

It's not that I hate the Killzone games, it's that IMO none of them were ever as good as they could have been, IMHO the Killzone games are everything that's wrong with shooters today, they either never tick all the boxes, or tick all the boxes rather than create new ones.

The reason why I'm so harsh on the franchise is because I know they could be better, I honestly think the franchise would not only sell allot better, but gather better critical review if they...

why is it whenever someone talks about the Killzone games it's always about graphics ?

It's like people admit these games have nothing else going for them, and you know what there right. I'm a PS fan but KZ is easily the most disappointing PS franchise to me. If it weren't for the graphics NO ONE would care about these games.

It's a mediocre FPS's franchise, that offer the complete barebones of a game package, people like to bash COD a...

Killzone has a great unique story concept, but overall the games have failed to convey the story and characters in an interesting way and it fails to explore the universe as well.

Where are the women, children, farmers, intellects, workers pet's, houses, schools, shops, any kind of enviroment that indicated this world was inhabited by people living there day to day lives ? Say what you wan't about COD but those games do an excellent job of conveying a real world caught...

American's seem to underestimate the power of their media. Western Europe since the 50's has been pretty much "Americanised", especially in Britain, there really isn't much of a cultural difference, the average European knows more about the US than the average American knows about Europe, heck you could probably even argue that the average European knows more about the states than the average American, bottom line there's not much of a culture shock.

I dont like the 360 controller either IMHO I think its big bulky piece of american crap, I cant stand the dpad or the face buttons they allways let me down in fighters, and that stupid battery pack what were they thinking? nothing beats Snes controller tho just perfect

It's the most thought provoking game I've played since Bioshock, the more you analyse it the sadder the experience becomes, the ending really sticks you

Yep I agreed with that review, Black was an amazing game to look and hear, but to actually play it was bland, the level design was predictable and straight forward, fire fights went on for far to long especially towards the end, and the game never really offered you much tactical options to engage the enemy. It was always wait shoot, wait shoot.

And all of that would have been fine if the game had any kind of multiplayer, but strangely it didn't which is mind boggling, it ...

Considering that mgs games usually sell anywhere between 3-7million 200k is rather poor, funny seeing as you call yourself commonsensegame

I'm not missing anything, I agree for the most part every game included in this list, I just have gripe with the placement, because this is a top 50 most important games list, the higher the placement indicates how relevant each game was to gaming.

Do you honestly think a game like Angry Birds is more important of a game than the likes of MGS, Myst, Civillisation, Tetris, LOZ OoT. Or what about games not included in the list ,like Pac-Land, Pit Fall, Another World, System...

This list is a jumbled mess, some games are far too high on the list, some are far too low, some games shouldn't even be on the list regardless of the explanation like Angry Birds seriously Angry Birds

Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing, he has somewhat of a point tho it's just really ironic considering this is the guy behind Unreal, and Gears the latter's recent release has been criticised for being same old.
