Replay value, a good art style (and good graphics to go with that art style), good gameplay and good mechanics. Not every game needs to be 'triple A' to be great.

Features are cool, but the main thing I want to do is play games. The share feature is beast though.

Does it really matter? People probably know that the best versions of Watch Dogs and AC4 (Not getting that) Are on next gen consoles. And when the cross gen titles stop coming out, won't that be an incentive for people to buy next gen consoles?

You only say the RPGs that Japanese bring out are generic, because you probably don't even play them. Have ya tried the Tales series? Ni No Kuni? Kingdom Hearts? And did I say anything about Korea?

That's awesome! The PS3 still has some awesome exclusives. KH 1.5, the next KH remake, Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, Tales of Xillia, Tales of Xillia 2, Ratchet and Clank Into The Nexus... So many great games. I'm gonna keep my PS3 for as long as possible.
@Timesplitter14, if Japanese devs are afraid to innovate and their games aren't interactive, then why is Square making FFXV, a real time game with an open world map, free running, good physics and a great battle system, along with KH3 a game in which you use a battle system with the same concept and a very creative art style. I almost think multiplayer is what has been strangling innovation. Multiplayer is denying us games like Megaman and great JRPGs. I just think for a lot of games like KH3 and FFXV, online is just irrelevant. And don't even get me started about tomb raider
I hate articles like this. As far as I'm concerned the western side of gaming needs to crash.
I like Ubisoft, but I'll tell ya this, I don't just want an online all the time game. When the servers go down, the disc will be a paperweight. If you want to make the multiplayer the main experience, fine. Just give me options. This is one of the reasons I think the western side of the industry needs to crash.
While your comment makes 100% sense, I really think it's a good idea to sit down and think about it. For weeks on end, they were ready to do the DRM no questions asked. You remember that interview between Angry Joe and Major Nelson? Yeah. Then when the pre-orders came and MS saw that they were getting pummeled by the PS4 they reversed. The DRM isn't even gone. You need to get a patch to cover the restrictions and MS can roll it off whenever they want.

I don't think that's ever gonna happen. The Wii U, for all the great thing it's getting, really doesn't have the specs to run this and especially FFXV. Yes it utilizes DirectX features, but not to the extent that the PS4 even the Xbox One do.
