I'm not worried at all. The PS3 has still has AAA exclusives coming out. And I can't wait to see what they do with PS4.
It won't be amazingly visible at the beginning of the gen, but later on, you'll really see the difference.
They're basically the same apart from the fact that MS was going to implement DRM on the XBO. On Steam, their is an offline mode, so even when Steam goes down (won't be anytime soon), you can still play your games. Coming from someone who plays more on consoles.

Not to mention the money bags for making games multiplats. They'll just hold back the Japanese games as well.

Tales of Vesperia did so badly on the 360 (before Japan started showing more interest in the mobile market as well), that Namco had to make it on PS4. Not to mention the moneybags they've been pulling with the XBO. Barely anyone is gonna buy KH3 and FFXV on PS4.

You have to be forward thinking. The games that come out on the launches of these consoles don't determine the exclusives we'll be getting throughout the gen. We don't even know all of the 1st party games that Sony is making for next year. All I know about is The Order: 1886 and infamous: Second Son.
All I can say is, just remember the 360. 2 years of some quality exclusives and then multiplats city.

PCs and consoles are the main way to play games. End of story.
The age of a killer app seems like it's over, to me at least. Especially at launch. These next gen consoles really only have rushed multiplats at launch. Personally, I'll stick with my PS3 for a bit, get GTAV, KH1.5 and 2.5, Xillia 2 and Symphonia Chronicles and then get a PS4 in summer or late 2014.
It's a good launch for Japan because they have a lot of games suited for Japanese gamers on the 22nd of February.
If they released the PS4 in Japan with BF4 and COD, it wouldn't go so well. That and that MS has some ground in the NA but no ground in Japan.
Already confirmed that it's not going to the XB1.
Faster development speed with ease of hardware makes not only more games, but better.
On top of the fact that the PS4 is the most powerful console this gen, it's easy to develop for, which means it's easier for devs to draw out more of the capabilities, like graphics, physics, AI etc.
