The switch is both a handheld and a home console gaming machine so to compare it to either if the consoles released just for home console gaming would be decidedly unfair tbh.
Wrm most if their titles are on ps now going back to ps2 and ps1. They could improve the ps1 and ps2 offerings but tbh the market share that give a shit about that is absolutely tiny so it's hardly a priority.
I mean I have games pass on my pc and ps now on PlayStation and we'll I've paid 1 pound for games pass to date making it the better value atm hahaha not sure how economical that is for Microsoft long term though? The services are actually highly comparable. Streaming I have no issue with even when my Internet is being heavily used by family. My Internet is also not as good as it coukd be but its also better than average I'd say but not by much. The more recent titles can ofc be do...
OK anyone on about ps3 backwards compatibility via an emulator clearly does not know what they are talking about. Because of the cell processor's architecture it is a bloody difficult thing to emulate. That is true now as it was 5 years ago and still will be in 5 years time. Its uniquely something that isn't straightforward to use new gen hardware to brute force because the most complex aspect is how the code dealt with memory on the ps3. There is a blog post somewhere by a software d...
If they have just clearly canned a ps5 version of the game that's been in development years and is almost ready to release they can kiss goodbye to my money.
That isn't actually what he said. He said some titles would be exclusive to platforms with games pass. Thst they would fulfil all contractual obligations he left it open however as to if all games would be exclusive to platforms with games pass or if there would be some exceptions.
@shiken not being funny but ragnarok has not been officially delayed yet.
Erm "not open world", "dynamic weather systems and "random ebcounters" aren't the latter usually things used in open world games??
Unless perhaps you prefer to play on PlayStation.... like myself. With the exception of games like civ and AoE and Total war I'd rather play a game on my ps5 and before that my ps4 Pro than I would on my pc. Occasionally I play games on pc I have a large enough library of them but I find I just don't enjoy it as much, I get distracted by other things, there are qay more cheaters on most online games and the communities for online games are way way way way more toxic in like a stereoty...
The past few fallout games bored me, if I can afford to upgrade my pc to ensure it can keep up with games then I'd look into next eldeesxdolls game as I love those games however honestly I feel like buying a multiplatforn IP like that and making it exclusive is a dice move and out of sheer principle would be tempted not to buy it. Deathloop will be on ps5 and after that we'll we'll see about other Bethesda games they don't have many that are all that good. The latest doom was...
Ite more likely theybsoebr the money to acquire zsbinax nedia's technology and the fact their games will be ob games pass day and sate is ab added bonus. But things like project Orion have applicability for more than just gaming which would explain the large amount of money Microsoft just spent.
Bethesda made a statement when it was announced and Phil Spencer backed them up. They stated they would still be independent and making their own decisions. They would be publishing their games like they always have NIT Microsoft.
I agree I think the practice of buying an entire publisher and it's IP's rather than individual studious abd building new studios and IP's is an appalling one for the industry.
I mean a few less pixels tend not to disrupt my gameplay.... frame drops however.... -_-
I think they could potentially see God of War come to pc especially with the new one on ps5 soon, days gone ofc has been announced. I get thebinoression that games like ratchet and clank it would seem to be unlikely tbh what with a new release in a couple of months. Gran turisno games likewise will remain exclusive. Spiderman is an interesting one... genuinely not sure. I could see a bunch of smaller indie titles making their way across and perhaps the uncharted collection followed by unchart...
Ff7 remake is already confirmed by square Enix I swear for this summer
I mean Sony only really put data on Horizon Zero Dawn and GoW abd Horizon is still due second half of the year. Gran Turismo got a projected time frame mentioned in small print as "aiming for" and that was quickly removed at the time. Hardly the same thing. Also I think Gran Turisno possibly was hoped to actually be plausible that it would release this year.
@orchard and yet unreal engine 5 development with Sonh's direct involvement abd the reveal of it was on ps5 hardware. So clearly that 2% does mean something. No Sony isn't about to acquire epic games but that's a very different situation to this anyway.
No elden ring isn't going to suddenly become an exclusive. But Sony have worked with from software before and this simply makes it all the more likely we will see them do so again.
Pc I play 90% of my games on ps5 but yesterday spent some time playing a ms studios game on pc so by all accounts I count into that figure.
Trust me you don't want to play godfall you might think you do but you probably don't.
