So to be clear you are comparing the price of brand new game at it's launch with a year old game +dlc. *facepalm*
@activision the 3D audio is no gimmick its amazing actually..
Pray tell what new features does a next gen xbox version of a game have beyond frame rate abd resolution bumps? 3D audio? Nope. Dualsense features? Nope. Various other improvements such as ingamw real-time cutscenes rather than pre-rendered ones originally.
Control was a completely different situation. People were pissed off because the upgrade was actually free but was only available for the goty edition essentially. If you bought the base game and both dlc's you had exact same content but couldn't upgrade to next gen version they then expected you to rebuy it. Ofc it was a ps plus game anyway. This would be comparable if- you couldn't upgrade the base game + dlc on ps5 without rebuying the game and dlc together for full price.
The difference is miles morales released on ps5 day 1. Ghost of tsushima was a ps4 game they reopened the code on and implemented a load of new stuff to give it ps5 support. Clearly it was expensive todo this and they decided to charge. Just like they did for spiderman remastered.
@jack nimble they have a history of porting games period. Sometimes to pc, sometimes from October PlayStation etc. They handled the ps4 port of rise of the tomb raider (2nd in reboot seried)
Greedfall and ff7 won't be sony's decision.... they'll be their developers and publishers decision.
When I was a kid it simply meant I had to wait. I got a game or two at Xmas and birthdays and perhaps bought one or two in-between if I was lucky and the one I got in between were always discounted heavily and usually a year old by then. The ones I got as gifts were often newer but not like released that week bar a couple of exceptions. I recall having to wait until my birthday many months later after persuading my mother to go see how much ratchet and clank: up your arsenal was and her refus...
@activision that's incorrect games started the ps3 generation at £50 they went down abit due to economy and retailers competing with each other but the rrp was £50-£55 from the start that was 2007, it decreases slightly when VAT was cut but went back up when it increased. By end of the generation that had gone up to £60. Now they've gone up to £70 which matches the inflation and the current value of the pound and VAT levels.
Games whee 50 like 15 years ago. So you expect the company to just ignore 15+ years of inflation??
@sherif129 nah I don't buy it, way too large a coincidence also I mean... look at this: https://twitter.com/NipalTi...
Cmon.... seriously?
Kindly explain the fact that if you go on Google translate and set it to translate Japanese to Turkish and put in hideo.... cmon there is no way that's a coincidence...
Nah kojima came straight out about his association with PT didn't he? Also remember we are getting an app with a like playable trailer or something on Friday for this game...
I don't think this is a silent hill game... I think it's a SIREN game. Sony old horror IP....
Well if they aren't actually a front for an announcement by kojima then they made some tweets that helped along the theories that they were really part of a marketing campaign. However I don't consider it likely that they have nothing todo with him at this point.
Yeah this was the thing that pushed it over the edge for me and seems to be beyond coincidence lol
Erm 25 June 2020? So 25th June last year? Is that a typo?
Sony consistently 'won't e3 year after year... they have decided todo some stuff differently and to have their events at a time when other news doesn't take away oxygen from their fire so to speak. It's perfectly logical and they are not alone In this approach.
I mean we're that the case nothing would ever get done
Acquiring indie studios and elevating them and funding them to create new IP's? Yes very healthy for the industry. Buying major publishers that have been around decades and all their popular and beloved IP with that then essentially just blocking their games coming to a rival platform even going so far as to scrap what must be pretty far advanced development on the games for rival platforms- really not healthy for the industry.
