Personal preference plays a big role no doubt. While I disagree with you about Bioshock and the things you've said about GTA IV (praise be onto it lol) I have to say your comments regarding Mass Effect prove you're not a blind Sony fanboy. You prefer your PS3 but aren't trying to downplay good games on the other side of the fence.

I just wonder if the hardcore PS3 fanboys will flip flop and suddenly think Bioshock is a good game... they spent last year saying how it was garbage... nothing but "a steampunk Systemshock 1.5"
If the sequel does come to PS3 would they release the original first? Rumors first said the next one would be a prequel but either way you'd kinda need to know what happened in the first one.

And I'm really interested in the Iron Man movie. The previews look great but I'll be far too busy with GTA IV to go the movie theater opening week.
I'd say it will hurt the movie the first couple of weeks but if its good it'll have legs and do well in the weeks afterward.
I think its awesome the game industry is so big now that movies and music releases have to try to avoid being overshadowed. This is a great trend for our industry.

Grand Theft Auto 3 had a massive effect on the gaming industry. It showed using middleware allowed developers to focus more on content than technology. It created the sandbox genre. But most important of all... It did more to push adult gaming than any game ever made. Rockstar proved that its not just kids that play video games. The console industry is over 30 years old now. Games made specifically for adults have a huge market.

The 360 is due for a real price drop. Its the older of the 3 next gen consoles, production costs are lower now and the last price drop was weak.
I also disagree that they don't care to beat the Wii. MS has tried and failed multiple times to take the "casual market" but look at Japan. Failing miserably but still slogging on. Personally I think they're working on a motion control peripheral of some sort... They had one for the PC years before the Wii why not bring it to...

The previous games were touted as "GTA Killers" and were hyped up only to sorely disappoint fans that used GTA as a yardstick to judge the games.
Developers and fans both should learn not to put the "Big Franchise X Killer" title on a game.

Lack of self esteem and a follower mentality. They want to feel "special" for being "smart enough" to pick the best console so they get on forums to reinforce it. As long as its a reasonable price I'm there. Couldn't stop playing this on my PS3 when I got it. Still don't have the ultimate license yet but working on it.

I've commented on RROD issue being huge and expensive HDD add on's and XBL outages you just don't see that cause all you care about is protecting the PS3.

This is GTA's first next gen outing too and Rockstar has only revealed 30% of the details of GTA IV.
MGS was a great game last generation but incredibly ground breaking it was not. GTA was.
The people on this site just want to put down GTA IV because their butt hurt the PS3 isn't getting exclusive content.

MGS4 is going to be great and I'm buying it on day one but GOTY I doubt.
Innovation and originality are normally the criteria for GOTY and I see GTA IV, Resistance 2, LBP or Gears 2 having a better chance at doing something new and refreshing.
Don't get me wrong I'm excited for this game but its very niche. We'll see maybe its just personal preference.

This guy knows his territory. Nintendo saw that he did a great job launching the 360 in India so they bought him out for their launch.

It's been 4 years since the last real GTA sequel. Have to take off work I'd be worthless there anyway wanting to play the game.
Not trying to discredit the PSP GTA games they were good too just not up to the level of III, Vice City or San Andreas.
