Same. Gears was probably the game that mad me feel "next-gen" was here. Shooting mechanics were tight, active reload, fantastic visuals, etc. It was heaven at the time.
Well, they did but The Coalition didn't have as much success as Epic since the first trilogy was better.
I think I remember that rumor as well. No one gave any mind to it since they thought it was BS. It seems it wasn't I mean, the game (bugs and all) is playable from start to finish which meant Epic went to all that trouble to make it on the PS3.

The major concern here while most people want this is for the playerbase to merge. I mean, faster qeue times, etc. But yeah, if it's not designed for it, it might be better not to implement it at all.

Yeah, this is definitely good news. Hopefully, other games can do something similar but I can see why they wouldn't want to though.
I wouldn't bet against it. Sony has the most important thing going for it which are games. I can't even imagine going next-gen without playing the next God of War, Spider-Man, The Last of Us 3 (or next Uncharted), Horizon Zero Dawn 2, etc.
Like, I'd buy a PS5 just to play this even if it was severely underpowered compared to the Xbox Series X. This is the same case while most gamers want a Nintendo console regardless of the power. :)
