So what I'm reading from the SDF is that because Sony stopped SHIPPING new ps3's. There was nothing to buy? What did the stores package up the remaining ps3's and send them back?
This would only happen if there was a surge in ps3 sales to the point where retail stores were bone dry. This surely would be evident in the chart but alas, it is not... so what happened?

dvd-roms are being replaced by usb sticks and Digital Download. Hell my dvd player has a usb port that plays my movies. I don't even burn movies for myself anymore.

DVD's for storage are already being replaced but it's not by blu-ray
Nearly everything we own from consoles, dvd players, blu-ray players, car stereos have USB ports.
USB drives are only getting faster and faster. It's a huge technological advantage that blu-ray's do not have. I guarantee that most of you already have em. It's just funny how you forget about that tech when the ps3 is involved.
your mistaken if you think blu-ray is going to replace dvds. There already is another storage media that has taken really deep root in the pc market.

So I can "pretend" im being green? I run 2 pc's with a 750 watt and 650 watt power supplies that are on 24-7 (bear in mind this doesn't mean they are using this much power while idling). I can care less how much energy a console that's not on 24-7 is using. My electric bill has hovered around the same price range for years now. Since before I built these pc's.

well if my predictions are correct. DICE announced the frostbite 2 engine running hand in hand with Directx 11.
They also stated that every nex-gen BF EXCEPT Battlefield 3 game has been frostbite 1. With Battlefield 3 being left out I imagine that true nex-gen will be starting with the arrival of dx11 on the pc
On another note. Codemasters must have realized the potential of dx11 since I'm sure they have a development kit for it already. The point being they delayed...
