Doesnt matter what they are saying NOW..come June next year at E3 there WILL be a Xbox 720 announcement. But it will still be a year and a half away at that point. So we are still feasibly 2 years away from 720 and PS4.
This holiday is in the bag..the 360 will do well as Kinect has proven to be a holiday system seller for Micrsoft.
Next holiday will be the last holiday for the 360 before 720 arrives and the 360 will go out with a swan song..Halo 4

I salute Micrsoft for the effort they put forth during this Gen in Japan. Without it we would have never got gems like Lost Odyssey.
But, the reality is the Japanese will never come close to buying 360s like it will it's home country brethren Nintendo and Wii.
With that said, though not only does the Japanese pass on 360 hardware, they pass on the biggest PS3 exclusives as well. Games like Uncharted 2, God of...
Please enlighten us which exclusive that will outsell it..and I can only think of one that has a chance.
I remember the Killzone 2 preorder ruse. That 'fake' rumor that Europe had over a million preorders got reported and every 'fan blogger' site ran with it.
At the end of the day, Europe bought less than 400,000 when the game launched, exposing the reality.
The funny part is you NEVER heard about Europe gaming preorders before and you have never heard about em' since.

I'd love to be playing Journey as much as anybody. Easily one of my most anticipated PS3 titles..but it doesn't have a release date and I'm not trying to get my hopes up that it will release this year. Especially November when NOBODY but people looking for the title would even notice. But crossing my fingers just in case.

By the the time I make it in from work, there were times I've averaged 12+. But I remember in the spring I would still throw in Kinect and get a workout in on Fitness Evolved and then go for a run.
The day Kinect dropped we had a few people over to try it out. It only took one session and we knew that Kinect was special. That whole weekend had people over for get togethers and they couldn't get enough.

Which is exactly what Microsoft wisely have said time and time from DAY ONE. Theyve always beat into everyone's heads how the wanted Kinect for experiences that were unique to Kinect. They even said they are not forcing devs to tack on Kinect unnecessarily.
Now as we've moved forward they have progressed where they have said that devs are using Kinect where it 'makes sense'

They basically had to make different language Skus because they could'nt put all the languages on one disc.
Which means zero to gamers..period. The 360 didn't use Blu Ray and 6 years later it didn't hurt them at all. I played LA Noire and could have care less that I had to change to disc two or 3 after a bunch of hours.
The Next 360 will obviously have more disc space than the 6 year old 360. But, after all the silly squabble from the 'usual...
I'm going to lie..as an old head original Xbox gamer, that list is pretty dead on with a couple of those games.
If there was a Shenmue/Shenmue II HD collection my head would explode.
Jet Set Radio collection would be amazing. Although, Jet Set Future HD arcade would be fine.
I'm hoping that Panzer Dragoon HD is released in lieu of Project Draco as well.
The mega bomb would be a KOTOR collection and Jade Empire ...
Don't forget the patriotic Europeans that buy the heck out the 360 as well.

Instanbull hit it on the head. Microsft will wait for it's 3rd quarter financail disposition. If they are still selling as well as they have all year long and Sony doesn't hit one of those 2009 'post-Slim' sale spikes then why would they care?
But, if the alternative is true, then expect the pre-holiday price-cut announcement.
