In their defense, it arrived in a day one patch.
This isn't some grand conspiracy against the PS3, though it is a very odd policy for Metacritic.
I guess it comes down to presentation. RE5 is third-person so you could see the guy mowing down the villagers was white. Also, the people in the RE5 trailer were emaciated-looking (albeit zombies) whereas it's clearly mercenaries and the like in Far Cry 2. Not to say RE5 was racist but I guess it was easier to criticize the visuals of that initial trailer.
Yeah, I can't imagine them not releasing the new content across all platforms. By now Epic knows there's a gold mine to be had in the console shooter market.
Geez, I'm learning the names of a lot of gamer sites today.
Meh, if people are willing to buy them for that price, who cares? It's not the sellers' fault people are crazy enough to pay 250 bucks for a game they can get for a quarter of that in a week.
Only gamers would get annoyed by a product getting four stars.
4/5 is a bad review?
"We all know the xbox 360 is in the lead right now but they're not selling to anyone that isn't outside their xbox 1 fan base and install base"
This is one of those things you'd need to provide actual statistics for.
Oh, console wars are completely stupid but gamers get so worked up about it and it drives website traffic so it's not going away.
It's true, Oct/November are crowded as hell but all of the games mentioned in the article are still big time franchises. They might not sell millions in their first week but they'll do fine.
In North America, it's being released on the 20th for PC, 14th for 360 and PS3.
A boob article getting on the front page on N4G? I am shocked.
Most likely. I'm sure they'll be getting an earful on their message boards so they'll clarify soon.
Oh, I still see a lot of people buying it. They just might not keep playing it for as long.
"how did such a company in need of money get the credentials to get review copies."
I doubt it's the company. Probably a reviewer looking for extra money. It's not like you need to be a Fortune 500 Company to have a gaming website with decent traffic, either. Joystiq, Kotaku, etc. probably employ only a handful of folks and I'm sure they get review copies.
Yeah this is pretty mean, especially after the whole "we're splitting Starcraft 2 into three games" thing.
My Battle.net plan gives me free nights and weekends!
I'm not sure the quick release time bodes well for the content of the expansion. Or maybe it was stuff they had half-completed but couldn't fit into retail.
There's nothing more annoying than the story of a game that knows it's part of a trilogy.
