AGRRED....the price, but it is what it is... its too damn expensive, and it will always be too damn expensive compared to 360. A game console that can do the same quality games.
yes, there are people waiting for a price drop, or the sony exclusives thats understandable....BUT, the 360 will have a price drop this year, maybe even $100. So, do you really htink PS3 can stand a chance when the MASS MARKET goes shopping this xmas. It will be teh SWEET SPOT price that families can afford for their kids and a price people will be willing to pay. watch and see.
another game being done better than 360...... so, this month is R6 vegas, darkness and VF5. I have 360, but i was really thinking PS3 would show superiority, same way XBOX made PS2 games look like crap, but I guess not.

TOTALLY AGREE. why anyone should choose the PS3 version instead of the 360 is just plain stupid. Now if all you got is a PS3, then you have no choice.
As for GENERICNAME yes Oblivion looks better, and it was said its a simple patch that PC owners as well as 360 will get in the future. So again, its not like the PS3 was more capable than the 360 version, it just showed how a developer with an extra ONE YEAR should and could make his game look better.

i'm a 360 owner..... but with KZ2 coming out it gives Sony a chance.
Fact is Halo will be looked upon as what 360 is capable of as far a graphics, sound, gameplay....the whole package. M$ should know the world will be judging Halo3 and depending how it turns out, it can help sell millions.
NOw if KZ2 is as good as they say it is, and the graphics are as good as they say they are, Sony will take this opportunity to make Halo 3 and the 360 look inferior to PS3.

a thought would be that many Sony fans stuck and bought PS3 for FF games and MGS4, they are the only two exclusives that are blockbusters, all the other ones coming out are new IP's. If they go multi, it will piss alot of sony fans off, and give more reasons for people to buy 360.
Exclusives are either 1st party or usually some deal was made to keep a 3rd party exclusive. Nobody stays with a console out of loyalty. Agreeing with COVENANT.

and xbox will always have the price advantage because they would still be giving us the choice. And even though we (on this website) may all be ready and want a HD format for movies, the MILLIONS of kids and mass market that are only looking for a game console will be looking for that exactly, A GAME CONSOLE.
xbox 360 plus price drop = millions more sold!! your proabably talking about 15 to 20 mil in total by end of year.
PS3 with maybe $50-$100 price drop = more sold but still 2 expensive.

do you know how many KIDS have ps2 and want to play Wii just because of the set-up? its why the Wii is doing so great. Its fun. All kids want to play and its affordable for the parents to buy. Now you add a motion controller ($60) for PS2 and they will sell millions even if its just a gimmick. Any hardcore player plays the Wii for fun, so why not go the cheaper route and get the PS2 for the Sony (Wii) sports, 3rd party games that will develop for both PS2 and Wii and mini-games?? being that alot of 3rd party games coming out for the Wii are also coming out for PS2 would make this a logical idea. A smart move by Sony to take the momentum from Wii. With a 120 million fanbase, an extra $60 for a Wii-like controller plus game would sell like hot cakes.
BUT, at the same time, they would be taking more focus off the PS3, consumers and kids wanting and saving for a PS3 would settle for this new set-up for now.

once 360 gets the price drop which is inevitable this year down to $199, the sweet spot for the mass market. its over. 360 wins. there will be a HUGE jump in sales, one that PS will never be able to catch up to. Maybe PS3 can get to a $199 price in hmmm.... 3-4 years, just in time for the next round a next-gen consoles.

i think if hd-dvd gets at a sub $200 price this holiday, it should make a difference. either way, i own the hd-dvd add on and i'm waiting it our and not buying any more movies.
