XBL is a premium service aimed at peolple with a broadband connection.
In other words,
1. people that can afford the added expense of broadband.
2. people that can get broadband connection where they live.
3. and the parents that allow their kids to play opline.
If you have broadband, paying $4 a month for XBL is more than worth it.

what you fail to realize is that the mass market have been waiting for the price to drop to jump into this gen and at $199... It is BY FAR the best value for your money if your a gamer. And it's finally affordable to the millions of cheap azzes that are still on the fence.
And it's also the proven sweet spot for the mass market. History shows that the biggest sales gain when the ps2 really took off was when it hit $199..... same with every other console.

As much as I love my 360 and its clear they have an advantage towards the mass market looking for a gaming system with that price...

If I had a ps3, this would be my most anticipated game of the year.
I like variety too... obviously.
BUT if I had to chose, i'm a gamer, and my fav games are more hardcore, Halo 3, Gears... and Mass Effect (which I just finished last night and was fckin awesome!!!!!)
When blockbusters like God of War 2, GT5, and KZ2 release, and the reviews are good, then I got more than just one reason to buy a ps3.... then I can let me dad check out Africa :)
I'd rather choose blockbuster over gamefly any day.
I have the total access online pass from blockbuster, they charge me like 16-17 bucks a month, and they send me three movies which I can take to any blockbuster and use them to rent three more for free. So at any given time you can have 6 movies rented out for that monthly fee...
but the best part is, they give you a free coupon every month to rent a game. So everytime a game comes out that I want, i get to bloc...
