Red Dead should not be GOTY. Overall it was a very solid game, but the entire Mexico section was incredible boring. 2/3 of the game was solid, the other 1/3 well... sucked.

Wow. There is an amazing lack of biblical knowledge stemming from this article and its comments. Why does the person who doesn't study the bible feel like they can genuinely comment on biblical truths?

I tried the Hulu PLUS weekly promotion and the interface absolutely rocks netflix's, but pretty much everything else pales in comparison. Since I already have netflix, the added bonus of a couple different tv series' is not worth the price.

Excellent point! I don't understand why reviewers look at GT5 on different terms than its own. It is a freakin driving simulator, therefore according to this guy - is a perfect game. It is insane the level of scrutiny that GT5 gets.

Although I don't personally agree with the score, and I don't think their words match their rating, I have to admit this is a very solid review.
Touching on many key issues, mentioning the weak and strong points, etc. What I am interested when I play GT games is the realistic driving experience... and they even said it... this is the best place to go for a realistic racing experience. :)
Seriously! If there were 25% of the games released I'd still have trouble keeping up. So often I buy a game and a new game comes out before I finish my previous game and then after that the same thing...ugh!
I need to do a better job of picking only one out of three games I am interested in, stick with it, then move to the next one in my list. Instead of feeling like I have to play everything at once.

The reason people are complaining at the criticisms is because these "criticisms" are trying to dock points for something GT is not trying to be. It would be like criticizing a JRPG for not having proper FPS elements. GT is a Racing Simulator, not an arcade racer. If you want to review games properly, you need to on the grounds the game attests to.
Lol, why are people so ridiculous? Does it make you feel better to bash on a game you don't enjoy? GT5 is a solid game and any gamer should admit that. It features simulation above any other racing game. You can't really compare it to anything because nothing is trying to do what GT5 is doing...

Because a 10/10 doesn't necessarily convey perfection. Are all 4 (depending on how its rated 5) star movies perfect? No.
It means it is just in a league of the highest caliber. I don't understand why people have a hard time getting that.
The problem with GT5 being released so long after GT4 is that journalist forgot how to review GT games...
Not too high yet. Waiting for that coveted wheel! But, loving the game regardless so far. Even if all those beginning races are the easiest things in the world.
