I agree with everything you said EXCEPT for the bit about DLC sales plummeting because of player-created content. Think about games that do allow that. Some games are almost nothing but player-created content and mods but the DLC still sells tremendously. (i.e. Elder Scrolls games and Arma games off the top of my head.)
Thanks for the quote, mate. Saved me some clicking :P
You're getting karma confused with reputation :P
Plus a lot of spoilers for those who haven't played some of theses games. Could have used some spoiler alerts with the games particular titles.
Hey, hey, don't forget that Halo 1 and Halo 2 were also on the PC and they had quite large online communities. It's not a far cry from a slap in the face to those who enjoyed the first two Halo games on PC.
Although in my opinion it's still a system seller for the Xbox One to me! Can't miss out!
Despite all of this talk about Capcom possibly not bringing it to Western markets, I find it highly likely that they will.
Am I the only person that has noticed every single trailer released so far has been voiced in English and subbed in Japanese?
Gameplay from TGS 2013 had Japanese game text but also some English mixed in, but still English voice actors and the such. I'm pretty sure the West will get this one as well, even if it's a bit later.
Yeah, I remember back when Halo 2 was the most popular game to play, during the early days of Xbox Live.
I was still playing Halo 2 on the original Xbox. I was even playing in the same games as people on the Xbox 360.
Cross platform is a fairly early concept but it hasn't been used much because of marketing strategies, which is unfortunate.
I might get some disagrees for this, but to each their own:
I think it would be really nice if Microsoft and 343i could bring Halo back to PC.
If any of you guys played Halo CE on PC, you'll know exactly why I feel this way.
Strictly speaking from my experience, and having seen all of my friends try both KB/M and controller as well..
The KB/M requires more skill than a controller. That's part of the intuitiveness of a controller. Easier for most people.
@ZodTheRipper You would be surprised at how many PC gamers use controllers.
Bring SOCOM back. I'm sure most of us weren't SOCOM fans, but I think back to those days quite often.
I've used the Oculus for both gaming and non-gaming. It's quite amazing on it's own.
I personally prefer the 2.40:1, 1920x800 aspect ratio.
Watch, the bad guys will be the Russians again -_-
I miss good old Munch's Odyssey. I think clicking in one of the analog sticks was designated for burping? Hahaha, loved it.
@FamilyGuy
You're right.
However, as unfortunate as it is, most people play a beta just to get their hands on a game earlier than launch, instead of playing the beta to actually aid development.
When people do this, the beta will leave an unending first impression of an unpolished game (which is exactly that, yet people do not understand).
Semi-Off Topic:
I have been guilty of the same thing myself, with the ESO beta. I'm going for anot...
@Aery
I have to agree with you. I played the last beta and I even got another invitation to this past beta weekend, however I opted to not participate. It was just way too disappointing. I feel no desire to invest in it anymore...
:***(
Semi-off topic: Wildstar is pretty nice thus far, so if you're feeling let down, give it a look.
@-Foxtrot
Send a letter to Bethesda for us! I strongly agree with your plot idea. It wouldn't feel boring for a long time because of the variety we would be getting.
On another note, I'd love to see a sort of expedition type plot where the people of Tamriel make another attempt at invading and colonizing Akavir. There is so much mystery to that land.
Uhmm..haha, I sure hope I don't get flamed for this, but...
DayZ is arguably ONE of the best mods around, however I do think that it doesn't qualify as a "2013" mod.
I totally agree. That was the first thing I thought. It's a shame that they won't continue to do it for the viewers and fans instead of the money.
Clicker site, I did it so you don't have to:
