@ MmaFan: They're under contract with Activision now, not Microsoft.
@ LOGICWINS: We don't play specs, do we? We play games, and the PlayStation brand offers the most content every single generation. Wish I could say I'm waiting to be proved wrong but I'm not. The wait will be far too long before another competitor arrives with as many 1st party developers as Sony.
No exclusives = you're playing what everyone else is playing, nothing to call your own.
Plain and simple.
If you don't have exclusive mascots, how do you hype your machine? Multiplatform games?
Edit: NeverEnding1989: Yeah, that's why no one talks about the Xbox brand anymore, right? More options =/= Struggling with identity. That is honestly the dumbest attempt at logic I've ever read.
More options = too many games?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution CGI trailer tied with that first God of War 3 trailer are still the best. The Dark Souls 2 trailer at the VGAs gave me chills as well.
There's always a way around 3rd party publishing deals. Look at Mass Effect 1.
It's hard not to love this game to death when it's the first console JRPG in a really, really long time that feels traditional. The artwork, music, simple yet touching story, addictive open world with a world map, etc. Level-5 are perfection at traditional style JRPGs, and Ni No Kuni is the closest thing we've gotten to Dragon Quest VIII all gen.
Sony beat Microsoft last gen and this gen too. Obvious predictions are obvious.
Wow, Naughty Dog. This was so unexpected. I knew it'd get scary but damn, not like that.
$60 is still too much for most people, I guess. Gamefly and the likes putting them out of business.
Maybe they're going to reveal the first gameplay at the PlayStation event this month. ;)
Sorry Mario, Wind Waker is the best game Nintendo ever published.
How the hell did you get disagrees? There are people out there that would prefer Kinect titles? LMAO, wow.
Edge are usually the last ones to ever publish a fabricated rumor. Things are beginning to get interesting indeed.
This is pretty disturbing "insider" information. He flat-out confirmed the next Xbox won't be as powerful as the PS4, and to make matters worse, Microsoft can't even begin to compete with Sony's 1st party support. What are they gonna rely on, Xbox Live Windows and Kinect? The PS4 will have a bunch of exclusives ALL OVER again, as well as all the multiplats with easier architecture to develop for than the PS3. So far, based on the rumors we know, Sony is going to massacre...
Wii U owners have two ways to look at this opinion.
1. You could accept that it isn't, and that it's only really competing against the PS3 and 360, as the Wii wasn't HD.
2. You could deny it, and then feel sad when the PS4 and next Xbox come out with superior hardware specs.
First place in hardware sales, not in games. Sorry.
With Heavy Rain's unexpected high sales, Beyond: Two Souls / their PS4 game being in development, and David Cage expressing his concerns in the past about multiplatform development, it's safe to remind you that he prefers exclusive development. Quantic Dream's games bring needed change and fresh air to the games industry. I don't know how they do it with the PS3 hardware but their games look absolutely jaw-dropping and impossible. Sony will probably acquire them this year.
Not only is it best Zelda and the best GameCube game, it's also one of the most technologically impressive games ever made, especially at the time. It still holds up perfectly well, in my opinion.
Untitled projects are usually given a codename. Singularity is most likely just that, a codename.
We've got some funny delusional fans here. Activision, the publisher, decides where the game is going. Bungie has no say as they signed a multiplatform contract with a multiplatform publisher. Deal with it.
