@ rainslacker: If Sony sticks to their regular pattern, the PS4 will have 8GB of RAM, even if it means splitting it between RAM and VRAM again. But it's hard to tell at this point as nothing factual has actually leaked the architecture. I'm right there with you in keeping expectations low and 2GB is the safest bet, considering costs.
They're gonna have to give in sooner or later. I'm surprised everyday that Sony hasn't caught on. Depending on how many new IPs they have planned for the PS4, I think there's a fair chance we'll see it. They even had the resources for a sequel at some point. I'm almost certain that a massive Syphon Filter reboot is brewing right now.
Sony has plenty of franchises they could easily bring back. Syphon Filter, War of the Monsters, Legend of Dragoon, and Jet Moto should all be rebooted on the PS4.
Going by this comment and the article, the reason for this statistic is merely that mostly kids (ages 9-12) play on Xbox Live.
16? I don't even know any PC gamers with that much RAM on their machines. 8GB is what I'd like to see, but realistically, we'll likely see 4GB.
Cool, now they'll be sued by the creators of The Walking Dead and AMC as well.
Good art direction will always prevail over bland hyperrealism.
Far Cry 3.
So they're looking at the first game and ignoring the last two? That makes sense. Isaac Clarke isn't a silent protagonist.
Why is there a Dead Space pic? Did you play Dead Space 2? Have you seen Dead Space 3? Do you even play video games?
The PS3 was released a year after the 360. Sometimes people forget and need the reminder.
2.5 HD please.
@ blah: Water is wet.
Most gamers weren't really talking about it until it won that award.
The ending was my biggest gripe with the game, but a lot of really good games this generation have cringeworthy endings. Mass Effect 3 is far from horrible, and an improvement over the just-okay Mass Effect 2.
Shadow of the Colossus for me.
@ Reverent: There's a difference. From everything that I've been reading and hearing, no one ever saw the kid. He was always alone, completely disconnected from the outside world, including his family. I don't want to generalize here but I can't see how that could ever be a good thing, especially if you're also living with a mother that seemingly doesn't care about you either. She took him out of school and it's possible that he was bullied and had no real friends....
@ LOGIC: Interesting. Would you raise anti-social children around assault weaponry and honestly not blame yourself when the day comes that they walk into a school and slaughter innocent children?
It's bad parenting when you don't know that your own son is mad at the world and you do nothing to make him feel better. Instead, you let your obsession with guns rub off on him and expect him to be alright. Like my gun collection, depressed child? Here you go, feel better. ...
As much as I'd love to see Gravity Rush on PS3, the Vita will need exclusives to stay alive.
Why did the mother have so many assault weapons readily available? With her being dead now, how will we ever know that she didn't have some metal illnesses of her own, which then transferred on to her 20 y/o anti-social son?
You have to question why a substitute teacher even had so many weapons to begin with, with the area they lived in being so nice and all.
Don't burst a vein, brothers.
