I think people have been waiting for this particular title for so long now that if it were to be announced at E3 running on the PS4, press would lose their sh*t and forget to cover everything else. As crazy as that sounds, E3 would be the perfect time for Sony to revive the game and show everyone why they need a PS4.
Not that they need much more reason after seeing the specs and what's already announced, heh.
One of the finest comments ever written on N4G. Not sure how people could expect much from Microsoft next gen when all they've given us is hardware failures, same sub-HD IPs over and over again, no blu-ray, and pretty much nothing these days. To go from 1st to last takes failure beyond failure to achieve.

@ crXss: They obviously haven't. I'm sure they've been narrowing things down but testing the hell out of each design requires process. Everything from leaving the console on for days, or until it dies, must be done for heat checking, electric feed, etc.
