DLC, like it should have been from the start! Or, offer both a DLC package and a retail package for those unable to access the additional content as DLC for what ever reason.

This is how all rebate programs work, the purpose of a rebate is to make something seem like a deal because in the end not everyone who buys a product with rebate in mind will have motivation to actually send in for it before the expiration window is up.

The original sold pretty well, it took in $37 million in profit.

Mediocre game, try before you buy! Armies of the Night in the Xbox/PS2 The Warriors game had a deeper combat system in my opinion.

It was the other way around, I believe Microsoft wanted to buy Sega but Sega decided not to sell, to anyone. Unfortunate decision in my opinion because CSK shut down a few years later and Sega was in jeopardy, and lets face it, Sammy certainly isn't helping Sega like CSK did.

The PS2 didn't cause a minor slump, the Dreamcast was outselling the PS2 at launch because Sony didn't have enough hardware on hand to fill the demand. In the long term it might have impacted them.

The Genesis add ons despite being revolutionary in their own respects were a big mistake, Sega should have just saved all those ideas for the Saturn, which I guess they kind of did but the fact that the add ons were put into production didn't help.

Best Buy and Walmart are really the only places that have the ability to sell PC games in North America. GameStop/EB Games for instance don't do very well in the PC category.

On the Giant Bomb podcast they said the developers realized most of their sales would come digitally and not retail so that had something to do with it.

I personally haven't tried CrimeCraft but I'm seeing a lot of APB comparison, I might give it a go as it could be a cool game to either hel...

Looks interesting, COD multiplayer has yet to fail me so I have high hopes for MW2.

Those are all great games, I haven't played Ironman so I can't comment on that.

Ack, this title is just begging for all sorts of nasty commentary.

He can have a case if the threats and violence against his property is linked to Facebook some how. This would also count as libel but my knowledge of libel and how it works in court is limited.

These ads can be seen artistically on one side but by the masses not so much. Rommel alone would have been good, the Iron Cross can stay (since Germany had revived it as a military medal and it's history started long before WWII), but the Swastikas are bit too much. The Joan of Arc one is weird.

Although I like the fact that Sony is using historical good martyrs in their ad campaign they should have known better since these revisionists only need the smallest push to go off. I ...

KotOR II had such potential to over take the original Kotor but thanks to LucasArts wanting to cut the development cycle that did not happen. At least now fans can experience what the full game was supposed to be like.

I was a beta tester for the mod when it was doing internal tests, but some asshole on the beta team leaked the mod to the Pirate Bay so the team had to take all of us off the project.

I can't believe people are hating on Rommel in the comments section of other sites. He was a great person who did much in his life to garner the respect of not only his men but his enemies as well. He was against racism (even disobeying British requests to...

This site should just call itself Amazon Watch since all its content caters around the constantly updating Amazon Best Sellers list.

I personally am skipping on the Go, the lack of a UMD transfer program is just another nail in the coffin in my opinion. I will however use this as a opportunity to get my hands on a cheap 3000 model or even the 4000 if rumors are true since my 1000 broke.

The Source engine was started somewhere around 2002/2003 maybe even earlier with it's first release game being in 2004. Ubisoft is still using what is essentially a modified Unreal 2.5 engine.

If developers think they can make improvements to their tech they will, it isn't easy or cheap to make a new engine you know. That being said, Bungie already confirmed Reach will use a new engine, so I assume the same can be said for other projects they are working on.

They probably do sell enough to turn a profit. I always wonder, what if they took all these classic 50s/60s, etc characters and actually made a good game with them?

Major Tom: You mean World War II, the same war that is still in living memory since there are millions if not billions of people on this earth that were alive during the war?

Hell, even World War I is still in living memory. Learn your history kid.

And the Japan that we have today is thanks to the American occupation following WW2, the Japanese were able to advance with the help of the US while keeping some of their traditional values.

Sony being humble and quiet? Gaming must have just started for you at $299, I hate it when gamers think they know gaming history but really don't.

On topic, I don't agree with what this guy did, no matter what your job is how you act in public is how you represent not only yourself but your company, family, etc.

But, why are people jumping to the conclusion that this was a Microsoft policy?
