....that tape is a security measure companies use to see if you opened up their electronics hence voiding their warranty. Even with screws, how on earth did that not click in for the writer?
In comparison to the Xbox 360, PS3, etc, the Wii isn't doing so hot if 11 titles could only move that much.
I think the Airtight Team left before this, regardless, RIP FASA!
They were working on two Shadowrun games, one being this and the other being the one we have now. Microsoft "impacted" the development of both and unfortunately one of them was canceled and the other was released with doom written all over it. :(
Coming from a developer who hasn't been able to make a SINGLE PS3 game run properly at launch...
Also, Pitchford seems to want to attack Valve at every opportunity, I guess he's jealous that
A. No one supported him on his Steam argument.
B. Steam was responsible for a majority of BiA: HH sales since no one bought it. (and with good reason, it ran like crap on everything!)
I think I'll wait for the reviews, I've been down the hype train before and it didn't end well...
The Hard Boiled Blu Ray on the PS3 was a great enough reason to justify a purchase from a few PS3 owners I know, infact, some bought the PS3 LE version of the 360 for just that!
Stranglehold was a great game, even the multiplayer was great if you were able to get a full house. Nothing beats a kitchen brawl with 3-4 other people only to have the weakest guy dive out of a window at the last second, pick up the shotgun underneath it and just blast away at the guy running past him. Good times! :)
This guy does realize the Call of Duty series despite the developers saying otherwise as always been a "John Rambo" type of game? Hell, even the airport sequence gives you a Rambo feeling when you mow down an entire armored SWAT team using little to no strategy.
When you shoot the civilians,
- Do their animations reflect how a real person would act? (from the looks of it, the civilian A.I. when injured is essentially a clone of an armed enemy)
...
Flop? If those games didn't do well in reviews they did well in sales with the only exception being Grabbed by the Ghoulies.
Viva Pinata: Over 1 million sold with critical acclaim
Perfect Dark: Over 2 million units sold
Kameo: Over 1 million units sold with a great following
Of course the game isn't that great but given the amount of hype and the number of Wii owners, less than 300k is a bit disappointing. Even if only a small fraction of Wii owners are "hardcore", it should still be enough to ensure titles such as The Conduit, Dead Space, House of the Dead: Overkill, MadWorld, No More Heroes, etc do better than they are.
They are, infact, they announced Windows 8 was in development a few months ago. The issue the article brings up is the form future Windows iterations will take, how they will compete, etc.
Regarding "cloud", I sure hope not! The idea of having all my data stored remotely might be convenient but,
1. What happens if the cloud is down?
2. What happens if the cloud loses data, is hacked, etc?
3. Read company privacy policies now, can you imagine how things would be in "the cloud"?!?!?
Those sales figures aren't very good, just think about the development costs alone. Also factor in that not all copies would have been sold at the original price point. The Wii is a console that has over 50 million units sold worldwide, The Conduit should have sold more.
But I doubt this will stop Sega from trying again...
The taskbar is something I'll miss, while I don't mind the Windows 7 taskbar their was just something about the Vista one that made Windows feel "unique".
While the graphics aren't the best, don't kid yourself, an 11 year old game does not look as good as a Unreal Engine 3 game especially on a technical level. If you still believe that enjoy your low polygon count and 640*480 resolution.
On a gameplay standpoint however that could be true.
It's not everyday that a household pet turns on an Xbox 360 and purchases gamer points only to have Microsoft refund the poor guy for his dogs funny accident.
An AAA title when it comes to reviews is something that has at least a 90% average on sites like Metacritic. HOWEVER, just because a game is not "AAA" does NOT disqualify it from being a GOTY contender.
Fat Princess: 79

Ratchet and Clank: 86

There could be more than one. The original Xbox had a few, (clear plastic on top of screws underneath rubber pads, screws underneath console ID stickers, etc)
