Setting should have little to do with things, if the game is good it is simply good.

There really haven't been a lot of mainstream WW2 shooters for quite some time, Call of Duty seems to be the only one, BiA doesn't count since the third person cover mechanic and all.

Going back to any retro game brings back memories for me, I'm able to get over the odd design choices of the day relatively quickly.

Max Payne, Riddick, Uncharted, etc are great franchises, it's good to see they played as an inspiration for SC: C.

MajestieBeast: You claim Microsoft said 3D gaming isn't needed at something they weren't going to do yet from the quote you posted.

"But he also adds: "If the consumers want it? Fine.""

The quote you posted basically claims they wouldn't rule it out and explore it if they saw consumer demand for it.

HolyOrangeCows: Are you saying the red/blue 3D is the only 3D possible on the Xbox 360? If so, James Cameron's Avatar and Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao support both Stereoscopic and anaglyphic 3D on the Xbox 360.

HDMI will obviously have the superior form of 3D though.

Gradient: Forza Motorsport 3 has sold over 1 million units as of December 8th, 2009.

Forza 3 in the US alone sold over 175k in the first month of release, the game also sold nearly 32k in Japan in the first week of release.

Been meaning to get back to Castlevania, I think the last one I played was Symphony of the Night!

Microsoft in recent years has been really good about privacy, the internal leaked memo proves it. For Windows live, a lot of data is kept for roughly 6 months, everything is removed once the account is deleted. Google keeps everything indefinietly.

Keep in mind though, it took lawsuits to change Microsoft, the same thing will happen to Google, Facebook, etc.

It might not scan the actual model into the game, most likely just recognizing the basic shape of an object and guessing at what it most likely is. Perhaps a bit like the card games that use the Xbox Live Vision Cam and PS Eye only a bit different.

Regardless, that E3 video was just a promotional "bull shot" of sorts, they even have a disclaimer at the end of the video I believe.

I only played the PC port of Dark Forces back in the day, not sure how the PS1 port was. Still, the game was pretty good and it's kind of nice to see Lucas Arts go in-house again.

Dude, MLB 2K10 is the best MLB 2K game in a very long time overall it's a good game. 2K10 isn't as good as the Show 10 but it's definitely getting better and overall a good game. Have you even given 2K10 a chance or are you just basing your accusations on nothing?

After reading comments on N4G and PastaPadre I'm seriously thinking baseball videogame fanboys are worse than console fanboys!

They forgot about the love hotels Nintendo operated in the 60s/70s in Japan, that is a pretty astonishing fact for the company.

Midway Games is still around but in Chapter 11 bankruptcy, recently:

http://www.dailyherald.com/...

Warner Brothers only bought certain assets from Midway as did THQ, Microsoft, EA, etc. Midway doesn't have any development studios either, the LinkedIn profile is obviously out of date, plus it mentions the "Xbox 360" as simply "Xbox".

According to Bernie Stollar recently, the deal was to EA would support the Dreamcast if SEGA made sure no other third party sports game could be on the console. A lot of the greatest Dreamcast games were sports games so I think SEGA chose the lesser of two evils.

SEGA still has Football manager I believe which has some "gameplay" elements.

I think a good example is MLB 2K and MLB: The Show, for a few years now 2K was lacking but this year with 2K10 they've really turned things around. It isn't as good as The Show but it's still a good game and one you won't be embarrased to have in your library either.

I picked up All Pro Football last year during Best Buy's Boxing Week sale for $5.00, great fun! I think if they had the NFL license the game could have achieved better in many categories.

2K Sports is the only real competition right now, there was Midway with Blitz but who knows where that is now. Backbreaker is the only one in the near future but asides from that it's all EA.

I think Sony did do a soccer game at one point, so did Microsoft back when they did sports stuff. The problem with first parties doing sports titles is that it could hurt their standings with third parties which no one wants. Instead companies simply focusing on attracting third parties t...

I highly doubt UFL will do much to hurt NFL in anyway, I think you would probably have better luck with getting a CFL license!

Good times with NFL Blitz and 2K, I really haven't picked up a Madden game in a while although to their credit, EA has tried to do things with Madden to keep things fresh and it's not like the game doesn't review well.
