Why would they use Blu Ray?
I only played the ones on the Dreamcast, they were pretty good.
lol what a horrible list, the only one I can agree with is probably Alex.
You make some good points but they could also just increase the amount of layers on a BD disk and make the laser compatible as well.
4 replies and no approvals!
I believe so along with the BDA (Which includes Sony)
I agree that could be the case for lets say the Playstation 4 but what about the Xbox 720 and the Wii 2? What if Microsoft is serious about this Blu Ray thing?
This is expected in business, you guys also know Microsoft saved Apple from the brink of bankruptcy right?
Were these ads by a internal Microsoft studio or by a third party? If it was a third party it holds little weight for the argument of "Mac is better then PC" or what ever people are using it for.
Fanboi: Not just you but many people commenting here are confusing GFW and GFWL together, they are two different things.
Edit: Awww, my replys are all gone!
Charmers: Judging by some of your comments I have a feeling your a bit confused about what GFW is. In my personally opinion the controller is better for shooters then the mouse and keyboard, sorry I should have been a bit more clear.
2. Regarding NAT issues, it's just the way the game connects to the...
Regarding the first point, no it's not. Its unifying, so your friends can be seen in all games, you can connect to a unifed server, etc Blizzard has done a similar thing only confied to their own games, it's called Battle.net, it works seamlessly across all battle.net titles (although I haven't played WOW so I dunno how that works).
1. No it's still PC gaming, you can't use the controller for everything, only shooters, a keyboard and mouse is still required for many games. Rega...
Fantasy Star: Your really confusing Games for Windows and Games for Windows Live here. I already clarifiyed many of your points in my previous post, of course Microsoft charges a royaltie fee, they have every right to charge a few, why? Since they are aiding development of the game. All those things Microsoft mandated are coded by them, you can find the scripts and such online and work them into your code fairly easily. Atleast their not asking for a cinemnatic in the game since in theory the...
3. I guess so but it's mandated by the brand, probably to help out first timers or people who don't know much about installations. I know some people who aren't hard core into computers who someone manage to screw up simple stuff like that.
4. Thats just the minimum, developers can add more if they like but games must support atleast those mentioned. Their are 2 16:10;s already on the mandatory list.
Unification only helps, like mentioned in the article gaming was in a...
Na I think your wrong their. Microsoft has put millions behind PC gaming in general, it's a strong point of their OS as well, why cut off the hand that feeds? Microsoft also has a unit dedicated to making PC hardware, most of their products are PC gaming related. I believe they do make royalties from the GFW brand. Sorry but your argument is greatly flawed.
To top it off you realize Microsoft got their gaming start from PC's right?
Why no feedback?
Why is it when ever someone mentions HD DVD someone always trys to defend Blu Ray by saying "Its dead", it's like you guys think it will come back and beat Blu Ray or something.
I assume your talking about the Braid review?
No not Turn 10 because they do more realism stuff like the Flight Sim guys at MGS.
I doubt Rare since they release a ton of games for Microsoft, usually all these titles sell a million at the original price point.
I doubt Lionhead will be on the chopping block any time soon, Silicon Knights is not owned by anyone, they are independent.
Killjoy: Simple Economics, Sony does "dirty deeds" as well, can I bring up the hype machine? Each has their own way, it dosen't have to be static.
They might, depends on how much people like the PS3 changes.
