You have a point, the HD DVD add on just managed 300K with it's various price points/deals. Plus a add-on drive really becomes a hassle at times.
They can do that or go proprietary as well (which would also have its benefits) Nintendo has proven this generation that even without "primitive" media playback a console can still be very successful.
This game is shaping up to be amazing!
They can choose a proprietary format for the next Xbox as well so I wouldn't rely on the Xbox 3/Blu Ray has a safety net, is Microsoft apart of the BDA?
I agree +1 bubble!
They are probably making truck fulls of money with the Video Store and the Netflix release will only add to it which is why I am skeptical Blu Ray will ever grace the Xbox 360, and possibly the Xbox 3 as well!
Blu Ray the future in China? I doubt it, CBHD will insure royaltie rates will not hike like they are with DVD since 90% or so of the tech is "home made" with the rest being HD DVD tech.
Yea real but not official right, meaning some company was selling it has a Sega system even though it wasn't, or something like that?
Wait, wasn't this confirmed false (aka a Chinese mock)? I'm confused now!
I hate Game Guru, not only is their site ad ridden, but they are losing their credibilty after those false rumors dating back to last year.
Its a deal!
It doesn't make characters look "beefy" that is the designers choice, their are plenty of UE 3 games that are prime examples, stranglehold, Blacksite, BiA: HH, Bioshock, etc
@ meep: That's true, it's possible Grasshopper has a low budget?
Read my comment in the open zone ------>
Good developers make their own tweaks to the engine, so in essence it really isn't "outdated".
@ Micheal Jackson: LOL!
Because you were scarred by the game, or the article?
Yea that would be pretty kick ass, maybe Sega could bring the "Jackson Collection" to the XBLA or PSN services.
Its probably just pop in on that one texture (one that someone promptly caught on a camera), I highly doubt 2K would let something that huge pass on the game.
(And I'm saying that being a non PS3 owner, not a fanboy)
A digital movie would not be 50GB's any time soon, I hear in places outside of North America the internet speeds are actually good! If games are going to be digital then I believe a Steam type system would be implemented where you get the core files compressed and ready to go.
