I've never been a Neverwinter Nights person but Obsidian is really one of my favorite developers, they series from what I can tell has really good post release support. I think I might finally, jump in!
Yes I have the PC version, I've played the Xbox 360 version but not the DLC on it.
I didn't mind OA that much, but from what I hear The Pitt was a disaster! Sure Fallout 3 brought the Fallout series to the masses, but its really falling behind in a lot of areas.
I'm personally waiting till the game is in the $20-30 range before picking it up.
Stormrise was a complete disaster!
Yea they had room for improvement but to say they had nothing when they did pull of some amazing campaigns is wrong.
Sega's previous console mistakes did greatly impact them during the Dreamcast era. Nintendo had something to keep them afloat among the bad consoles, the handheld family which was king of the castle. The only handheld's to actually give it competition were the Sega Game Gear and the Sony PSP (The GG was the second highest selling non Nintendo handheld until the ...
Well they are still making games for it so its definitely a plus.
Uhh, up until a few years ago dial up was the best thing, and the Dreamcast also had a broadband adapter, I have one on my Dreamcast right now.
Marketing? Sega had one of the greatest launch campaigns in console history! (9/9/99 and all events to coincide), not to mention Sega had some of the best ads in the business.
Peter Moore had done his best, Sega Japan really screwed things up for those who wanted to take quick action to try and remedy and worsening situation. I think the real reason Peter is taking so much slack now adays is SOLELY because of his involvement with Microsoft, the Sony fans just cant take that.
Call of Duty and Shinobi would be day 1 buys for me, not sure about Transformers though.
I really don't blame Peter Moore, it was more so the arrogance of Sega Japan and their slow reaction that really dragged down Sega America, in the end Japan had the final say and Peter was left taking the blame.
I wonder how the Dreamcast would have fared with Bernie Stolar was still with Sega.
Wasn't Moore the one that told Sega of Japan to f off because they wanted to pull the plug on the Dreamcast?
In a way the Xbox family is by Sega, the relation Sega and Microsoft had allowed the two to make huge advancements in the online gaming industry. After Sega left Microsoft took what they learned and created Xbox Live.
I'm not sure where but wasn't their a rumor going around a while back that said Microsoft approached Sega and asked if they wanted to co ent...
lol thats funny, although it could happen to anyone.
I knew it was going to be big, but I would have never expect Halo 3 to do this well!
This game is definitely on my radar
Killzone 2 wasn't the most expensive shooter ever made, it was the most expensive game made in the Netherlands I believe (where GG is based) but not for the rest of the world.
Likewise, I like the newer packaging much better. This will probably in a weird way spur sales of Platinum Hits titles :p
Their still not dead yet, two things can happen here
1. They pull a Atari and sell off a lot of their stuff until they are in a position to return, in the long run they will buy back their old catalog.
2. A company like Warner buys Midway for $30 million and pays off the $270 million or so debt that they assumed.
Number 2 seems like a more viable and better option since Midway will be able to keep everything and have the financial backing to not ...
I think you mean C# based, regardless C++, C, C#, etc will work on the Xbox 360, possibly more depending on the engine I assume? I don't think programming language has that big a impact on a consoles capacity as you are claiming.
Finally, the Fallout series has once again returned to the developers who made the original! It will be interesting to see how they handle it, can they go their own way or do they have to adopt Bethesda's style?
For those who don't know, after Interplay shut down Black Isle Studios, the key Black Isle people went on to found Obsidian, shortly after that most of the original Black Isle team found jobs their.
