And when little big planet 4 come out they will add Time manipulation features to it so it people can create games like Braid, or some Trek episodes, and Dr. Who inspired levels. Finally they will release Little Big Planet 5 which will be a reboot of the entire series... ;p

I've had such mixed feelings about this game. At first I thought finally some one was doing something new. Then I saw a few of their early videos, and the early play list and lost a lot of interest in the game. Then they dumped a ton of GH Guitars in the volcano, and though I can't imagine it was good for the environment, it was awesome to watch, and it won back a bit of my interest. Now this list comes out, and it's a lot better than I expected.... Now I'm actually looking fo...

Spelling errors and ignorance are not one and the same. There are many reasons some one could miss spell something, dyslexia for example. This does not make the person ignorant. Ignorance would be using a word with out understanding it's meaning. Kind of like calling spelling errors ignorance...

Ignorance and stupidity often go hand and hand, because to act on something one is ignorant of is stupid. One can also be stupid for being informed and still acting ignorant. I f...

Edit: I know you meant further, but that was just to good a statement to pass up. =)

Is Boolean searches for levels. I want the ability to search for a title containing a specific word/phrase OR a genera AND also with a given Star rating... All those options can be individually selected in the first one, but there weren't any options to reduce/refine the chaos that some times resulted.

I agree that if you refused to accept the new update and every thing worked the way it has in the past with the exception that you were unable to use anything new that comes out, then they would be ok; however, this is not the case. Games like Little Big Planet which functioned fine prior to this patch loose functionality if you do not wish to "downgrade" with this patch. People payed good money for the console and the games, and are now faced with an either or situation. Either I c...

with a 10 foot pole. I can almost guarantee that it will die with in two years, and when it does it will more than likely take other components with it, because that is more than likely a false maximum wattage. Not all 500 watt PSU's actually produce a usable 500watts. Seeing as the PSU is the life blood of a computer, and one of the things people rarely ever upgrade in their case, why would one skimp? 9 times out of 10 when the PSU goes wonkey it can cause hard to track symptoms like random ...

is known as Displacement mapping in the 3d industry. The displacement map is the image that "describes" how the the 3d geometry will be deformed when it is tessellated. A displacement map is similar to a bump or normal map depending on the type of image used. Tessellation, for displacement maps at least, is the process where the render engine subdivides the polygons that make up the model based on the image and deforms them to reproduce a more complex surface. The thing about tessel...

What I see coming in the next generation of consoles is quite different.

First I see real time displacement being a feature that will improve surface detail allowing cracks and bumps to be physically accurate instead of light tricks.

Second I see soft body/cloth simulation being used more, and more effectively. If they can dynamically tessellate a surface for displacement, then they should also be able to apply the same level of tessellation to soft bodies making th...

You're argument is flawed. In order to play those console games on a PC you need an emulator. Emulation is an attempt to mimic an entire lower end system (processors and all) on another more powerful system. Wine Is Not an Emulator aka W.I.N.E. is a Linux native open source version of the windows api. The programs are literally running under Linux as native applications. WINE on some systems preforms as well if not some times better than they do on an equivalent windows environment. Thus if a...

I'm mostly fine with that. After all one has hardware and software designed by Microsoft, and the other has hardware designed by who ever build the computer, but I won't go as far as saying the software requires a Microsoft OS on the PC side. I don't know if Wine, Crossover or one of the other cross platform API's can run one of these games yet, and if they did then that would invalidate that argument. That being said their intended systems are Microsoft based.

"so by using your logic since the Wii dosent have Fallout 3 it makes it a exclusive title for the PS3? You see if we were to use your logic then we would have to assume that EVERYONE can only buy 1 Platform, and that's not a fair comparison, because face it not everyone is in that position. What we should do label each console and the PC as a platform."

No, that is not at all what I said. By my logic if a person could only buy one system, and they wanted a game unavai...

I can't entirely agree with that conclusion, because if I could only own an xbox360, ps3 or a PC then the title existing on the xbox 360 does give it another piece of software that the ps3 doesn't have. Thus if an individual could only choose one system, then perhaps that is the best choice for some one that wants to play that game; however, it still doesn't mean that an individual has to own an xbox 360 if they want to play the game. If a person owns a PC and a PS3, then the person does not ...

if person a owns a ps3 and a pc, but not an xbox 360, and the game is available for the pc and xbox 360, then in some peoples opinions the game is exclusive to the xbox 360, and obviously makes it the console of choice? Maybe I'm a little confused here, but if a person can play it on their PC, doesn't that mean they can avoid having to purchase an xbox to play said game? I was always under the impression that the purpose of exclusivity was to create the desire for some one to own a given cons...

and supposedly a weapon editor as well. There is also speculation that there will be a level editor, and if that turns out to be true, then this may be a classic 3D 8bit zelda style game construction kit. Kind of like Mod Nation Racers, this could be another play, create share title. If that turns out to be the case, then I would be all over this game.

Here is a link to the character editor:

That some of the Olympic figure skating judges were paid off to reduce scores. (when the person who fumbled beat the person with a perfect routine.) Then it should come as no surprise that some reviewers are more than likely payed to take a point of a specific game. The mentality of most of these "judges/reviewers" is that their minor reduction won't effect the game in a major way; however, the bonus check in their account will help with their finances. I did a few software reviews ...

because there is a major feature missing, a wrist strap. Far to many TV's, doors, windows, lamps and people got mauled when wii motes slipped out of a sweaty hand. Neither of these designs show wrist straps, thus I have trouble believing they are the final design, but it does look like the newer design is closer to a production model.
