Are you an analyst, did you predict the PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio in 2013? Did you predict that the Xbox was going to be weaker than the PS4? No, there's no predicting that shit, you're not an engineer or an analyst and you have no inside knowledge.
You're only assuming PS4 Pro was a hitch in their cycle. I don't know why you'd assume it's too soon, only by their consistent cycle, like pro was "too soon", so they have to put off the next generation even longer, but maybe the Pro didn't change a thing.
I don't think so. PS generations have been following a 6.x year cycle since PS1. It might all depend on MS plans or they'll keep that cycle and release something in 2020 at latest. They'll probably discontinue PS4 base model by late 2019, and sell PS4 Pro as the base PS4, PS5 in November 2020.
It's still in Alpha phase, by the performance.

I think the Switch is better left off getting old ports and new IPs/indie games. BL3 should stay a 8th generation game, Switch is 7.5th gen hardware, and undocked 7th, plus you're really adding some dev time by putting it on the switch , being weaker and having a vastly different architecture. If BL3 is going to be on the Switch, it should be much later on, when they're done with the big boys.
It wasn't worth playing on Vita IMO because of the performance. I don't think I needed a portable BL that bad -.-. I think the only good FPS for Vita was Killzone.
Dude, they're awesome! While they don't have a true IP of their own, they definitely have proven themselves extremely competent and dedicated. I will trust that any work from Bluepoint is well done and thought out.
