FOB and Mother Base are technically the same. When you expand Mother Base to a certain level, you have to create new bases and those can get invaded online. FOB is still available offline but of course without the invasions.
@ Ahytys
That's probably true. Considering how bollocks Konami has become lately, I can't see them spending money on a single server. The whole MGS5 budget issue was why Kojima is getting kicked from ...
Are you serious? FOB needs PS Plus?
Even Watch_Dogs had part of its multiplayer free. You can get invaded by other players as long as you had a PSN account and internet connection. Invading other games required a subscription.
This feature is supposed to be enhancing the single player experience with an online element. I understand if the competitive multiplayer i.e. Metal Gear Online requires a subscription, but not FOB.
Rather than emotion or gameplay, I guess it displayed the Luminous Engine. It showed Regis' cheekbones twitching and whatnot. Pretty detailed subtle facial movements.
Also, the cutscenes shown in the trailer felt very somber, something that's been lacking from all the FF15 trailer since the renaming.
Tabata said the beginning of the story has been heavily changed. The remainder of the story is virtually the same.
The original beginning was Noctis meeting Stella at a peace conference. Stella isn't a princess of the Empire but just from a noble family. But the peace conference is a charade and the Empire's delegates take out the Kingdom's regime and begin their full-scale invasion. Noctis was still in capital during all of this (as shown in the last FFvs13 PS3 t...
It seems the only thing people are getting worked up about is that Stella seemed like a fighter, whereas Luna seems like she isn't.
We saw a quick scene showing Stella having her own Armiger Arsenal. It's possible Luna might have hers too.
In my opinion, the biggest difference between Stella and Luna is that Stella was to eventually become Noctis' enemy. It seems Luna isn't going to be Noctis' enemy as she is also a victim of her own Empir...
To be honest, I think the main reason Square used to be stubborn was because of Wada as CEO. Instead of finishing the localisation of FF13 first, he went and shipped the japanese version out 3 months before the western version.
This meant he didn't care about multi-audio support at all. Since he left, I've noticed Square has improved on numerous issues. He was never a game developer at heart (he doesn't even have any game developing experience) and was purely a bu...
Pretty sure it's close to the final product. The graphics were definitely made in-engine.
Let's hope the in-game graphics are no different.
They're most likely fal'cie.
Have you guys forgotten this is part of the FF13/Type-0 mythology? Fabula Nova Crystallis.
The overarching story in FF15 is going to be about fal'cie manipulating humans to open Etro's Gate or something.
Seeing Etro is featured heavily in FF15, and that Noctis can see "the souls of the dying ascending," it's almost certain Etro's Gate will have its place in this story.
Arnie Roth is just a composer. As far as I know, he has nothing to do with the game development and just composes the Distant Worlds orchestra.
Meaning he likely meant remaster.
The real reason is likely because Valve want to develop it for the HTC Vive or other VR gadgets.
Has there been any new Sonic game announcements?
The last Sonic game I've played was Sonic Generations. Still dreaming of the day a Sonic Adventure 3 gets announced.
Most fps still haven't reached the level of genius that is Half-Life 2.
I couldn't tell the difference.
I also remember that back in day, open world or Western RPG games were usually very buggy and most patches were made by the community.
When you have a game as huge as the Witcher 3, it only makes sense there'll be patches. And it's not as if the game is broken. Far from it. It plays very well, and the patches improve upon it.
It's games like Assassin's Creed Unity which are dished out half-broken that people frown upon.
Yeah, pretty much because it doesn't feel like an Assassin's Creed game but something else.
Then again, Assassin's Creed IV, has a similar air about it too but when it released it was quite a great game.
Why do you think the new director has screwed the game story? We hardly even know what the story is.
And besides, Tabata confirmed the story was already finished before he joined the team.
Ever since he stepped down as President, Square has been redeeming itself.
I'm pretty sure Wada must have personally blocked all attempts at remaking FF7. As it would be such a risky project, and all he cared about were profits increasing, shares rising and making himself and the board of executives filthy rich.
I did find the inclusion of Genesis in the Nibelheim incident rather bizarre.
Essentially, in Crisis Core, Genesis provokes Sephiroth into learning the truth about himself. I.e. Genesis is partly responsible for the burning of Nibleheim; for Zack and Cloud to be experimented on by Shinra etc.
However, throughout FF7, Genesis is essentially asleep somewhere. He finds his cure near the end of Crisis Core, gets beat by Zack, and sorta stops being a villain.
2017 will be 20th year anniversary for FF7.
I would think that Square will work tooth and nail to get it out during that year.
The irony is that Link always looked so girly anyway. The best cosplay of Link are when its done by girls.
And not to mention, loads of female gamers love Link. He has quite the fangirl following.
There are quite a few female protagonists of games these days. I bet there are more well-developed female protagonists than males too.
The title says "After 30 Years of Being a Dude, There's No Reason Why Link Shouldn’t Be a Lady." Thi...
