No force. It's just ESRB. Capcom wouldn't risk SFV being rated as Mature.

It seems you guys love to bash this "minority" does not even exist.

The reason capcom self-censored it is because of the provisional ESRB rating. It was likely that ESRB was going to rate Street Fighter V as Mature. No SF game ever went beyond Teen rating so Capcom was worried this may impact potential sales. So they went ahead and changed what they could to bring it down to Teen rating.

So actually this case has nothing to do with Social Justice Wa...

Uhh you're just looking at the environment. There is an actual combat system that looks to be functioning already.

I'm not saying this is typical speedy development. I'm comparing it to FF15.

Because that engine is still in development itself. And still getting modified and debugged. It's part of the reason why FF15 has taken so long to finish. If part of the engine is unfinished or broken or full of bugs, it puts a bottleneck on the actual game design. Schedule gets pushed back further and further.
But Timesplitter14 was correct in saying that the User Interface is very likely much more complex than Unreal Engine 4 which was designed to be user friendly.

This was to be expected. It also explains why we've got this much content so far in only a year of development - compared to FF15, that is.

The Luminous Engine's development and debugging was a factor in why FF15 has taken ages.

Not really, FF13-2 and LR are sequels. It's not the same thing as splitting an already established single story into several parts.

It may not be episodic in the definition we know of in current gaming. I suspect it will be like full games lasting around 20 hours each. Still not very happy about this, but I'm very sure Nomura and co. didn't take this decision easily. They probably estimated that the scope and scale of this remake was far too immense for them to be...

Uhh, that ain't gonna happen. They said it's the same story scenarios. Just added new plot stuff in it to surprise old players.

For example, in the trailer, when Cloud is surrounded by Shinra troops, he has that moment where his brain fries and runs off. That wasn't in the original game, however it's relevant because it's foreshadowing Cloud's deep problems with his memory that gets revealed later on in the game. Also, the style and sound effect they u...

There is no complete version of MGS5. LOL_WUT is chatting out of his ass.

There's no release window for FF7R announced yet.

But it seems likely to come out in 2017. After all, that will be the 20th anniversary of the original PS1 game.

Seeing the gameplay footage (and likely that it's being developed on Unreal Engine 4), it seems development of FF7 Remake is going a lot more smoothly and quickly than FF15. Since actual production began in December 2014, if it comes out in 2017, it will have been in production for 3 years. ...

There is an ATB gauge if you look carefully.

Also, technically FF7 was not a completly turn-based game. It was active time-based. Unlike FF1-FF3, it does not wait for you to do an attack. Similar to FF10, it has the order system where the speed level of your attack (or speed stats of your party character) determines whether the player or the game gets the turn first.

Not really, donthate.

This has to do with Konami intentionally intimidating Kojima aggressively.

They are fully aware that Kojima is very popular globally and that he's the brains behind MGS.

Konami is essentially acting like a thuggish zaibatsu.

As for why they are deliberately harassing him like this. I can only think that either Kojima may be planning to sue them, or that Kojima knows something the world doesn't a...

Talk about next level corporate bullying. I don't think we see this level of intimidation on ex-employees here in the West. Barred from attending an awards ceremony in a different country? Seriously, what?

If only there was some way to strip Konami of the Metal Gear franchise. Seriously, what a way to end one of the most legendary vieo game series ever. What is Konami without Metal Gear and Kojima? Pachinko machines?

That too, lol.

Well by evil, I mean villain. Technically Cipher ceased to exist after Skull Face died. He hijacked Cipher after nearly assassinating Zero. After that, Zero slowly turned into a vegetable, and it was the Patriots AI system that took over.

Big Boss never fought Cipher after that. He was fighting to establish his own nation where soldiers disenfranchised across the world would find a 'heaven' to live in. Essentially a rogue military state whose main economy is mercenary...

Gotta disagree. I don't want remakes for those games. Just a proper MGS game that shows Big Boss becoming the antagonist from Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2.

I remember in the years running up to release, Kojima would talk about including taboo subjects in the game. In the end, hardly anything taboo showed up. The child soldiers weren't abused or made to fight by Diamond Dogs. If anything, Diamond Dogs wanted to care and rehabilitate them.

It would be in...

This may be the unpopular opinion, but I sorta hope Kojima and Konami made up and re-employed him.

The reason being is that while MGS5 could be written off as the final MGS game that leaves no holes open, this is not necessarily true.

Uhh, it'd be a homage if they chose a character from FF1-FF6. FF7 was on PS1 lol.

Not that I'm complaining. I'll be downloading Cloud DLC on Day 1.

- Unrelatable characters
This is a genuine concern. There are only 4 main party members with a couple of temporary party members every now and than. Final Fantasy was always known for a large colorful diverse main cast. Even the atrocity known as Final Fantasy XIII had more party members.
I was also annoyed by the character designs. Especially Noctis. His clothes are just too bland. And he's the main character. I actually preferred his longcoat than the jacket & shirt....

Yeah I was also pissed about this. After saving so much GMP and resources to build a nuke, I get that awfully distracting demon snake permaskin that annoyed the hell out of me during cutscenes. Then the next day I switch on the game to find out my nuke was stolen when I wasn't playing.

Such a pisstake. Now I had the demon snake bloody skin AND no nuke.

And as for the game's ending... let's not talk about that.

Otherwise this game...
