Yeeeeeup.
Sony has equity. Except for a minor misstep with the PS3 (which they made up for with time), every generation since the PS1, Sony has proven they are the best value in console gaming. They have the games, both multiplatform bestsellers and their untouchable exclusives, they have the services, they have the hardware and they have the innovation. They are the most consistent console company, and that consistency has earned them a loyal fanbase.
That game officially destroyed any interest I had for it the moment I read "online-only". They couldn't pull it off with 3 and they're trying to do it with 4 thinking we haven't forgotten the bullshit. I think Blizz are in for a RUDE awakening.
"We're sorry about everything."
"Apology accepted. Are you gonna unban the players you censored?"
"LOL NOPE!
Way to lack edge, Edge.
...What gaming business?
No it won't. MediEvil was never one of Sony's big franchises, and it was simply a remake too close to the original. This game is in no way representative of what Sony could achieve with remakes/reboots of their franchises. Sony has tons of franchises that are primed for a comeback, and the fans will react accordingly. I can easily see a new Warhawk in the style of the PS3 game, a new Twisted Metal or a new Syphon Filter, all doing gangbusters.
Man, all that platypus venom must have affected Australians. They're so thin-skinned and puritanical now.
It's like Ive been saying for a while, sports game fans are the worst. They are the demographic that gaming companies most shamelessly explout for monetization and nickel-and-diming, yetbthey keep buying the games year after year. And that blatant abuse emboldens developers to try to spread those monetization models to other genres. I blame sports gamers more than anyone for how out of control companies like EA and 2K are.
Sports game fans are the worst, man. No other genre is as aggressively monetized and abuses their fans so badly, yet they continue to support it blindly.
Shin Megami Tensei says hi, bitch.
YES. GOD YES.
Also, Rival Schools!
I can't wait to play the game on PC too... after I pirate it, cause I'm a PS4 player, and eff Microsoft for nerfing it on my preferred system for bullshit petty reasons.
Someone never Got Gud.
The guy is a true auteur. He has signature themes, flourishes and a style that is fully recognizable as his own. And even with the stifling corporate culture at Konami, he was still able to deliver some of the best videogames in history (IMHO, Metal Gear Solid 3 is tied with Silent Hill 2 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as THE best game of the PS2). He also has charisma and a talent for making friends, as evidenced by all the collaborators and famous creators he has a relationship with. The...
To me, gaming laptops are not attractive because of the limitations. A desktop is much cheaper, more expandable and doesn't heat up as badly. And saying Stadia makes a laptop less attractive is retarded, since a laptop, being a PORTABLE medium, is tailor-made for Stadia.
@sprinterboy TLOU came out at practically the literal end of the previous generation, and it got a remaster for the current one. Recognizing it for the masterpiece it is in no way diminishes that we're living in an amazing time for games. Yes, the big "AAA" devs try to milk us dry with microtransactions and GAAS, but they are getting fucked because of it, while great games that are complete experiences are receiving both the acclaim and the sales they deserve. EA, Activision, Ko...
In my case, when I started to take a game's price-to-value ratio seriously. The games I value most these days are those which give me the most complete experience without having to spend excessively past the initial buy price, and that offer a good balance of length and variety. For example, any games-as-a-service I avoid like the plague, but, say, Monster Hunter: World I gladly bought the expansion for, since the expansion was priced cheaper than the initial main game, and the main game ...
This article is confused on multiple levels:
-Sony Pictures and Sony Interactive Entertainment, while both part of the parent Sony company, are otherwise independent entities, and their negotiations over rights for various franchises are independent of one another. Sony games are not inherently tied to Sony Pictures for adaptation, nor are Sony Pictures properties exclusive to the Playstation platform for adaptation either.
-Sony Pictures do not have excl...
