the series gets as much attention as it does because of its super high quality, not sales.
correction: its now at the price it should have been in the first place.. so technically its not a "good deal" but a standard one... pft! i threw a 500 in my ps3 for 80 bucks..
i may have to spring for this though... i install all my games to the hdd so i dont have to hear the disk drive spinning at night and my 120 is full and i even have reserved 16gbs of an external hdd for it too!

yeah, i thought halo 3 was pretty blecgh... and loved reach.
yeah most people on the internet are rather ignorant and will believe hearsay...
dont matter to me because with my ******* (certain large yellow sign store) discount i can get a 100 dollar monster 1000x cable for just over 20 bucks... so you can imagine how much i get cheaper cables for!! pocket change.
and that is actually the main reason it is used still!
well, duh! its a purely digital connection much like ethernet so as long as there isnt any interference that would cause package loss then there will be no difference.
true, but correct me if im wrong but as far as i understand it there is actually a physical difference in 1.4 or "high speed with ethernet" cables compared to the others. the difference being that there is a new cross over connection that is required for 3d, because the sync data passes through it hence "with ethernet.
although im not quite sure where i heard this so i may very well be wrong.

people do however need to realize that they need the proper spec hdmi cable. for instance a 1.4 cable is not the same as a 1.2

not for the price i got it for, also not compared to the turtle beach dpx21 that i had, and if you actually take the time to do some research you will find that the tritton ax pros are actually well regarded as a good gaming headset (with real surround to boot!)
edit: i did a google search and all these positive reviews are on the first page of results with the trend continuing to the next page...

actually it has ONE logo of the ps buttons.
i cant wait to see what people will do, but to be honest im wondering if the possible ramifications (piracy, blocked psn) arent worth it.
and honestly im excited at the possibility of a new browser, better codec support, emulators, and the ability to back up and play games from an external or hell a big ass internal drive.
lets hope we can have our cake and eat it too, eh?

im pretty sure the px5s are also simulated surround as well...
ive had the dpx21 turtle beach headset and while they were pretty good i wanted true surround so i opted for the tritton ax pro which has 8 separete speakers (4 in each ear, 1 center, 1 sub, and front and rear for the left and right ear.) the surround is no comparison.
tritton ax pro.. full 5.1 surround with 8 discrete speakers. 169 bucks
edit: while the ability to pair it wirelessly with a phone or mp3 player is cool px5 like all of turtle beach headsets uses SIMULATED SURROUND (from 2 speakers) which is definitely better than none but nothing compared to a true surround headset and if thats what you want then you are better off looking somewhere else. like logitech, tritton, psyko labs.
