its not directly, but a tv with a high pixel fill rate obviously wont be capable of really high refresh rates.
low (FAST: 2ms or lower) pixel fill rate = higher max refresh rate
high (SLOW: 8ms or higher) pixel fill rate = lower max refresh rate.

yeah your playing a 30 fps on a 240 hz tv doesnt make it 240fps... but thats not the point. a 240hz tv has an incredibly low response time so fast moving images will look a bit more crisp, also its more about the frame interpolation than anything read:frame interpolation makes anything in motion soo incredibly lifelike.

yes, but just because it may be on console does not mean it will be watered down. and if it were to its not because of technical (it shouldnt be anyway) limitations (mag 256players, resistance 2 64 players) but because the developer feels the need to coddle console only players, which i think is total bullshit. just because there are a few ignorant morons who go gaga over call of duty and simple brainless games does not mean the whole of console gamers do.
