Ive experienced a few crashes, but I wouldnt even come close to calling it "unplayable".
Still it is annoying that it does crash every now and then.
This is a veiled article that makes PC gaming look more difficult/expensive than it really is. The author goes on to say that PC gaming is a niche market... lol Steam has more users than Xbox Live and developers are making more money off of PC games (Sometimes more than all consoles combined).
This stigma that PC gaming was/is/will die needs to go away. The fact of the matter is that PC gaming has never been stronger
So ah, Planetside being on pc means nothing? Microsoft earns no royalties for games running on windows so being on Windows is not a Microsoft vs Sony thing, its a PC vs console thing.
Graphics don't make the game, but a good game is made better by good graphics.
But yeah PC+PS is all you need (Unless you like nintendo's games). PS for PS exclusives and a PC for everything else.
Same here, I picked mine up from greenmangaming.com
nope.
you can build one that will for about 500 bucks.
Still better than a ps3 and xbox 360... about on par with the xbox one.
? it uses around 90 watts at idle... dunno where you got the 200 plus from. At full load it uses soemthing like 15 watts more than a titan or 20 more than a 780
HD8000? It will be R9 300...
... Yes but a new gen is expected to be significantly better technically and graphically.
It is in the early days, so I guess we will see how things improve from here.
Its true, we arent dealing with drastically different resolutions. It is pretty sad that games arent at 60fps accross the board. Thats not to say 30fps is unplayable-it is, but 60fps is just better.
At 60fps everything is smoother, motion is clearer, and there is reduced input lag, these things seriously do go a long way to your enjoyment of the game. Besides all that games have more breathing room when they cannot meet their target fps. 50fps is magnitudes better than 20fps ...
Spoken like someone who truly has no experience.
The only thing that Killzone and Halo have in common is the first person view and guns...
If you had played them both you would know this.
Yeah but dat last bubble tho
FIFY
lolwut? You do realize that the Xbox one has a gpu with 1.2 teraflops right? It currently takes a GTX Titan(gpu with 4.5 teraflops), or a R9 290X(gpu with 5.6 teraflops) to achieve playable Framerates at 4K, in fact multi gpu setups (Crossfire/SLI) are whats is currently recommended if you have a 4k monitor.
Your Fanboyism cant break physics... lol
If you guys are soo damn focused on graphics, resolution and fps then why the hell are you getting consoles... Thats where a PC comes in.
SMH.
Higher fps usually will do just that. Smoother gameplay, and reduced input lag do wonders for your enjoyment of games.
True, but AMD has been clawing its way back.
While this article does not break it down into specific segments it does show that for the last Qtr AMD sold more gpus than Nvidia.
http://www.guru3d.com/news_...
The future looks promising, more competition and all bla bla bla.
If only they could make the same comeback with cpus.... smh...
That may have been true in the past, I dont know and cant comment on it. but it is not true now. You cant go wrong with either AMD or Nvidia these days, if you prefer Nvidia it just really comes down to A. Your level of fanboyism to nvidia is able to disregard the price difference, or B. the games you play run better on nvidia.
Who is holding your hand to force you to buy the top tier stuff? a 200 dollar gpu will surpass consoles.
