Asus R9 290X Direct CU II here. Game runs OK for the most part, after the beta drivers at least.
I see 35-80 fps with random stutters every now and then.
Ultra settings with Temporal smaa @ 2560*1080
Get something a little more powerful. Watch Dogs is the *only* game that will do this, and it looks worse than all of the pc crushing games.

Unfortunately Nvidia and AMD are waiting for 20nm fabrication processes from Global Foundries and TSMC. And unfortunately they aren't ready, reports state 20nm wont be around till next year..... so the R9 2xx and GTX 7xx are here to stay for a little while longer.
It goes back and forth, Before the 7xx series and the R9 series at pretty much every price point the AMD card was better (HD 7xxx vs GTX 6xx).
The optimized drivers are not out for Nvidia or AMD. so....
Also I'm pretty sure Gaming Evolved games are not nerfed with an Nvidia Gpu like some Nvidia twimtbp games are with AMD. That is pretty shitty. Also last I checked two of the most hardware demanding games on the market now are Gaming evolved games (BF4 and Crysis 3)
I was thinking that it was running somewhat slower than I imagined it would. regardless it runs well enough on my 290X. I imagine there will be a game update and a driver update soon that will correct this.

Maybe not, but it wouldn't be due to piracy. PC gamers are generally a slightly different demographic than Console gamers are. It would sell less simply because it doesnt appeal to PC gamers as it does with Console gamers.
