Why would a post stating a fact along with a link be down voted?
Gamers effectively finance all Nintendo s games and they make games for people who play them ( or they damn well need to be)
I have no problem with the numbers but the title said they " made" $500 million which is the same as saying they " profited" $500 million - the proper term is they generated $ 500 million in revenue which is a big difference - in the body of the article they use both terms
I hope it sells well enough to get DS3 made before too long and yes, for $19.99 a great deal!
As a wiiu owner who played Darksiders II twice while waiting on Wii u games post launch I am happy to see "someone" is supporting the Wii u this year- it def is not Nintendo - I will gladly buy this game day 1 if it is half as good as DS2.
DS2 was a very underrated game IMO and lots of fun- Death had an awesome personality and sense of humor

Big game hunter - researching and wishing are not the same thing - the X-2 is a possibility but Eurogamer was clear they did not think it would be the x-2 , that they had NO indication it would be the X-2 - so if your take on those statements is that IT Def WILL Be THE X-2 then you are either a world class optamist or in denial

The Eurogamer report said they expected it to be the X-1 - they just brought up the X-2 being out there - from that some people somehow extrapolated thru no actual evidence, sources etc that it would be the X-2
But the people saying they have sources are reporting they have NO indication it will be X-2
So Nintendo does something " different" to avoid competing with Sony and MSFT directly in an industry that is their primary focus ( gaming) so they can then go to compete with Apple, Samsung, Google, MSFT, Sony and a slew of others huge corporations In area s that Nintendo has had far less focus and experience-

I def agree they are pandering to people who won t play the game- but the whole reason for ratings is so people know what type of content may be included- if it fits the rating??? Bikini s are not going to change the rating-

nice article- I do feel bad for the people who put their money in Mighty #9- I seriously doubt most of it actually went into making the game - either that or KI was paying himself a salary of about $3.4 million

Nintendo s Annual revenue have dropped significantly every year since 2008 (or close - i going from memory) and to go from 3.2 million to 800k wii u s sold and only 50 million software sold is a TON of revenue to loose in a year and if they don t make most of that up elsewhere they will have a loss
It is a little or a lot early to be declaring any heroes for Nintendo and it is def to early to think Pokemon go will deliver anything close to Wii and Ds profits if for no other reason than Nintendo will only receive a portion of the profits from the game- Pokemon go or not, Nintendo will be very fortunate to break even or make a small profit this fiscal year due to huge drops in wii u hardware and software sales

Nintendo, Niantic, Pokemon etc need to understand you can t treat your mobile game community the same as the console game community - I have a feeling Pokemon Go and Nintendo s own games will struggle in this area for too long. It will cost them goodwill and dollars
