Thanks Captain Obvious
I ve never heard of a company voluntarily entering a partnership with another company "forever", with no means of unwinding- So to say this collaboration/partnership is no different (that it can be dissolved in the future) than any previous business partnership (and future) means what?
The total software sales for the wii U are horrible- Yes there are a few of the biggest games that have sold well but as a whole, the Wii U is moving software at a horrendous rate-
Since they are break even or at a loss on the Wi U hardware starting the coming fiscal year April 1 2015, they need to be selling lots for software but the numbers say otherwise
As low as the wii U hardware sales have been - the software sales are terrible-
2014 and 2015 should have been/be peak profit cycles for Nintendo due to the natural sales/investment cycles of the Wii U and 3DS- yet they will barley make a profit if any this year after years of losses-
I have a Wii U and only a Wii U but historically poor sales re hardware and software and historically poor 3rd party support (even compared to other Nintendo consoles) is not successful- The Wii U has lost money and marketshare- And no the Wii U is not making money now either- ( please show a qualified Nintendo source indicating otherwise before disagreeing)
Nintendo is the party creating the shortage intentionally- So for the foreseeable future they don t want to correct the situation- IMO it is short term thinking for short term profit- but Iwata needs to wring every dime he can out of the shrinking Nintendo consumer base so he is much more worried about next quarters earning than longer term market building
The title is inaccurate. Who admitted anything?
Sites/critics also give games far higher scores than deserved for similar reasons as mentioned in this article - Plus many of the reviewers can be fanboys too and are influenced by their own preference
Read some of the top scores for the Order and it is clear to any objective person that they are shill reviews
It goes both ways- that is why a large sample size of reviews tends to find a mor...
Very well done- I agree with everything you have written in this piece
I alwYs thought that if a gaming journalist ( or maybe any type of online journalist) really wanted to get the most traffic they should set a goal to become the most hated person/personality on the net in the area they wrote about - that is it just intentionally wrote about topics that will make people hate you and your traffic will soar- pretty sad I know
The other really sad thing ...
I may buy 1 for my Son for X mas to see if it adds anything of value to Smash Bros - but other than that, I would not buy any more until their use in future games is clear
I think, like the game pad, Nintendo started out with a good idea re Amiibo but seems hesitant to fully commit to the concept - so the market will probably commit at the level Nintendo does -
I think they will sell a lot up front to collectors but to have them sell successfully longer t...
Thank you for the helpful answer - after spending so much time on Bionis,, I really appreciated the job they did in the natural world
Ok that was helpful - I m just not familiar w some of the terminology - but now you explained the basic dif between fantasy and SCI if which I was. Or sure about before - I also thought SC Fi was more space oriented - not sure why so thank s for setting me straight there too-
I'll def buy the game as soon as it is released and I loved Xenoblade - may even play through it again soon
I loves the setting that most of Xenoblade took place - I hope the "more SCI Fi" comment doesn t mean it's going to take place mostly in space? I m not a SCI Fi buff so it's hard for me to interpret what he meant- Anyone have an idea?
Like Reggie you mean?
An error that will give the site more traffic than if the correct image was posted and shortly before Smash U is released - a fortuitous coincidence
Bayo 1 sold 90k+ on Xnox and 1.16+ Million on PS3
Bayo 2 on Wii u has sold aprox 320k so far
We are along way off from either the xbox or Playstaion. Bayo 1 sales numbers so far - if the holiday sales don t lift it enough to come close to a 1 million (I don t think it will) then the Wii u exclusive may never catch up to those sales- another thing to remember is both I and II are included in the Wii inversion
I hate it for Platinum - th...
For the record I own a Wii u and only a Wii u and am not happy Ubisoft, one of the only major 3rd party devs is leaving the Wii u- early on in the Wii u s life Ubi supported the Wii u more than Nintendo did - AC Black Flag was an excellent port - Rayman was a great game , they had quite a few good games on the Wii u - I am disappointed I can't buy the next AC game too after buying III and IV-
For anyone to be happy we have lost their support is pure obstinate - I ...
That is what I thought but I saw several available to buy yesterday - maybe the retailer put them out early by mistake
They had Mario, Picachu, Peach, Fox and I think Yoshii maybe 1 other
The detail on Fox and Peach were really impressive
If I felt like there would be shortages on any if them they X mas or beyond I would go buy a handful if they have not removed them from the shelves yet
People on the gaming forums like this and others seem to be used to reading and commenting on most everything at face value it seems - half the time people will make strong comments on an article and all they have read is the title
IMO transparency is always healthier for all involved - it's not always the most expedient or easy route but much better in the long run
If you did a little research on Nexus then maybe you would understand - the article is informative and is a public service
I could announce tomorrow that I am going to make a better Minecraft than the actual game, help out on kick starter etc .... But for any journalist to take that info and run w it without knowing that I am not a game dev would be irresponsible
This situation the dev has actually developed a game but it is mostly broken, not well thought ...
I think the article and it's author did an excellent job communicating and informing re the story and subject matter
By the way, why do you keep using the authors name over and over - we can all read - therefore we know who the author of the article is
The guy/dev making big promises and asking for people's hard earned money does it have a good track record and has illustrated questionable behavior re a well deserved critical review of one of its ga...
Not all delays are created equal- I don t think anyone has issue with delays that are used to improve/finish the game-
It is not the delay that people get frustrated with, it is typically the reason/potential reason for the delay.
For ex. If a delivery date was announced too early for the dev to have confidence it could be met is 1 type of delay- announcing games for E 3 or other marketing reasons, knowing the actual date will be moved back is another-
Game...
