Slowly (and I mean slowly) the Wii U is adding to its library - the big one added being Mario Kart and the big one coming ( re adding to install base) being Smash bros

The "hump" the Wii u has not gotten over yet is following up on their successes - after last holiday there was nothing till DKTF then nothing again till MK8 then little to nothing again till OCt/Nov by which time much of the DK8 momentum had slowed way down- now it will take SSB s to regain momentu...

How many of those games will be delayed till 2016 including Starfox?

I bet at least than 2 or 3 will be delayed Star fox and Zelda being 1st on the delay list

I would not say the Wii U is doing great simply due to it having a better year than last year- 2013 was disasterous and 2014 is a little better- we only had 2 or 3 good games the 1st 2/3 rods of the year and if you are not big into platformers then your options are still very limited

The e shop is still a disaster and looking more like the I store every week despite a few high quality platformers being released recently

The Wii instill has a ways to go - ...

The author of this article is prob an investor in this game just trying to get attention for it-

Then he not only hypes the game but points out there are no women developers involved- Is he saying women are not capable game developers? He must be mysoginstic- Is that the same thing as sexist? I just wanted to use the word because it's popular

It must be nice to be related to an Ostrich

There is no maybe about it - That is what companies and politicians count on every day and it pays off very well

Re the I phone - people bought it with that knowledge in advance- If they bought it then after the fact had to agree to that or have their phone bricked that would be a good comparison to what Nintendo is doing w it's TOS. - big difference in concepts

apathy is the answer!

It does not appear you understand the point - it sets a bad precedent - there may or may not be something in this TOS agreement that bothers you but sooner or later there will be-

4252d ago 3 agree4 disagreeView comment

It is not a good precedent- basically we don t own the console after we buy it- I am ok if they withhold the update if you don t agree but to render the whole console and it's functionality useless if you don t agree is flat wrong - it probably would not hold up in court but who is going to court over a $300+- console? No one and that is whT they are counting on

Honestly there are games on the e shop now that would not be approved for the I-Store

Nintendo has such a great catalogue of games they could release but they choose not to so far - the more junk released the less vc and other quality games games are released

The Wii u e shop is getting worse every week- the amount of junk being released is far surpassing decent to good indie games and the few quality VC games released - For a console that lacks diversity and depth of software, they sure are not using the e-shop to help much-
There have been plenty of god platformers but beyond that, very little

I hope Nintendo does not listen Or try to appease this recent rash of Link apologist editorials - they are among the dumbest - They need to of write about rap music or Lady Gaga

Shall we pretend people never need help, particularly women? Tell that to my ex wife please!

How is anyone even verified to be a "member of gamergate" to begin with?

I am also sure there are plenty of immature people out there making threat of all sorts but it does not necessarily mean they represent a specific view and with out a doubt these people are not speaking on behalf of gamergate

Having said the above I have no doubt there are as many contrived "threats" as any other kind

Does anyone think people with ...

most of the offensive rhetoric is made by people pretending to represent the view of gamergate so they can then claim they are being attacked by people of that view point

The oldest trick in the book and so easily done in this day and age of internet anonymity

Isn t this the same guy that publicly berated a website for a well deserves poor review of Brick Blast - he should patch that game before spending time and resources selling another concept that may or may not turn out

4254d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

If you look at their previous attempts at making a game then you will wait for reviews before buying-

They made Brick Blast aka Brick Broken and struggled so a Minecraft knock off from this guy is prob a pipe dream

4254d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Fireside- didn t the same guy and or website give GTA a 95 score which is a game that has people shooting prostitutes for fun? One of the many problems people have with reviews like the one we are discussing is the inconsistency and convenience with which these self appointed SKW s operate

The guy is full of it and most everyone knows it- he s just getting called out for blatant pandering for his own agenda at a well respected game/developers expense

There are many legal agreements we may enter into that are technically not enforceable by law IF CHALLENGED- But companies count on 1) the ignorance and apathy of the consumer and 2) they count on the fact it is rarely worth an individual taking them to court because the time and resources it would take are rarely worth the value of the issue

If it is that simple why have there been multiple TOS agreements to sign off on ?

Either way you are missing the point

4255d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

I would not assume anything until or unless it is up and running- Nintendo says a lot of things because it knows it has many fans who will believe them and speak out as if it were true no matter what

4255d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Most of you are missing the point- they are changing g the terms of the agreement after your initial setup - it may be that the changes today don t effect you but there could be changes in the future that do - Nintendo had the opportunity to put whatever restrictions they wanted at the start - as they add things to the system it may be understandable that you have to agree to get use of the updates improvement s (if they are improvements)- but to brick your whole system if you don t agre...
