Distant Worlds is ONLY Final Fantasy music. The full name is "Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy." You may be thinking of a different video game orchestra series.
If you love the FF music, make every effort to go see Distant Worlds. I drove to Chicago a couple years ago and it was awesome. Uematsu's music is great in the games, but even better when orchestrated.

FF8 doesn't get enough recognition for its music. There's some really outstanding stuff in 7 that can't be topped, but 8 is pretty consistently good and the quality of the sound is quite a bit better in 8 as well. Hell, I think the ending theme was probably my favorite for about a decade.
For me it is. I have a pretty big FF collection and Lightning Returns will be the game that seals the deal for me and I'm done with it.
I know I'll be buying less games if/when it goes all digital. I like to collect games and you can't really show off a collection if it's on a HD. I've got a pretty large collection of Final Fantasy games and purchased games I knew I'd never play just to keep the collection somewhat current. I'd never make those buys if it was all digital.
The systems might actually last longer if they were left on constantly. The lead free solder wasn't as flexible as the leaded type. So when you heat something, things expand and move around. When it cools, it goes back. All that heating/cooling cycles is what stresses the solder joints and causes the cracks. So if you kept it on constantly and warmed up, it wouldn't be going through those harmful cycles. The flip side is, other moving parts may wear out in that time like fans, H...
I'd love to see someone watch Spoony's review of the game and then try to defend it.
I seriously don't get it. She was so boring and had so little character development. Everyone else had some decent stuff going on. In all honesty, the only things I remember about her is playing as her at the start, her not giving a crap about anything, and that she punched Snow, which was pretty awesome. As much as I disliked Snow, at least he had a personality and charcter development.
Probably the same people who agreed with the first reply.
I just don't get the whole argument. If you're bothered by excessive killing, don't do it. In The Last of Us, in many areas you can sneak your way through and in sections you can't, they're out to kill you so your use of violence is justified. It's not like you're just out there killing people for the hell of it or because you can. As the player, you have some role in how you play the character. Use the free will that is given to you, and if you don't feel...
Yeah. I seem to recall years ago they compared the economy of Eve and some other MMORPGs to the economy of some small countries. Doesn't mean people were spending real money, but it does have a real world value.
@TechnicianTed
"Buggy as hell" is not really accurate. Yes, there's bugs, but no one I know has experienced any of them through multiple play throughs. Most of the stuff I saw so far is all just goofy visual bugs like models freaking out or a character falling through the world. Compared to what happens with a lot of the problems in Skyrim, it's not even close.
Best Buy drives me nuts.
I quit going there a couple years ago because of all the problems I'd have with online orders. I think the last two years they really pissed off people because stuff that wasn't ordered for Chritmas wasn't available.
But whatever, I ordered both Xbox and PS4. It seems they're putting through authorization charges on the card WEEKLY. It seems my bank doesn't like that and it sets off fraud alerts since it's ove...
You've got to be shitting me. The promo image says it's from Final Fantasy VIII. They can't even be bothered to get the right game listed?
I gotta say I'm actually a bit impressed with Dan's comments lately. He seems more subdued and not over-stating everything in Forza as being the greatest there is. Rather, he's telling us what's there and what to expect out of the game instead of telling people what they should think.
Ellie's eyes are blue.

Gaikai does all the processing on the server so all it sends to the console is a video stream. There will be a slight lag for inputs, but all the power of the server can be used to run a game at any level of graphics.
Xbox One games are still being run locally and would offload some calculations to the cloud. This does not work for certain things like collisions and other things that need to be done very quickly.

No, it doesn't.
"As we've seen in all past cases, the antigenic titers of the patient's Cordyceps remain high in both the serum and the cerebrospinal fluid."
Past cases would be other, normally infected people, not immune people. He then goes on to talk about what makes Ellie different from the other infected, including this:
"and an MRI of the brain shows no evidence of fungal-growth i...
You probably got a disagree because all of the audio journals were talking about Ellie.
