Agreed.
I've been to two midnight releases. One at a GameStop and one at Best Buy. GameStop sucked because everything was roped off, so you had a path to the register and out. Being that most GameStops are smallish, the line went out the door. Plus the added grief of dealing with the salesmen pressuring you into making more pre-orders or buying the strat guide.
Both sucked because people just stood around and messed with their phones or DS/PSP unless they...
Downloadable mp4, looks much better.

I believe MS has said you'll be able to play while the game is downloading in the background, much like the PS4.
Phil Harrison on Xbox One: "digital is an unstoppable force"
Why is this a quote from him when it seems he never actually said that?
Pretty sure the Xbox doesn't need to be on to pass through the HDMI signal.
I wish there was a profile setting here to block me from seeing stuff from certain websites. I don't think I've ever seen a non-spam website with so many intrusive ads before in my life.
"he most likely doesnt like a single thing ubisoft puts out"
wha?
Like I said, he really liked Driver San Francisco by Ubisoft. It was #2 in his top 5 for the year. It's a miracle he can put together 5 games that he likes.
To trump all of that, Ubisoft made a car game that even Yahtzee liked. That should probably happen once a decade.
It's one thing to listen. It's entirely different to actually do something about what you hear.
By the time the generation ends, years from now, a one week lead isn't going to account for much.
He also said Western games need time to be localized for Japan.
I'm sure some stores will have some in stock on launch day. Problem is, people are going to be camping out over night, or longer to nab those. To anyone relying on walking into a store on 11/22, good luck.
It's easy to have a better launch lineup when you give up on the current gen 3 years earlier.

"more complete value proposition"
I don't even think these words make a bit of sense. It's sounding like PR BS to me.
Sure. If they're going to focus on making games that are practically unplayable without being online, it'll be easy to not buy/play them.
I play games to relax and do what I want with my free time. I'm not going to fuss about trying to line up friends schedules to play a game and then have people agree on what to do and spend time sitting around because someone has to do something really quick. And forget about playing with random people.
Who is S&R? This article confuses me greatly.
The article doesn't seem to have anything to do with what the title suggests.
In stock. That's impressive.
Probably because all release day orders available have already been placed. They're just notifying people who already ordered.
I'm not buying it without a certificate of authenticity.
Good, more misleading titles.
