What a thing to get upset over
lol @ mitigate. Sony is going to use this as an excuse to bump the cost of the next PS hardware a few hundred extra. They still get to sell consoles at like $800-900 for a nice profit and get to blame the disastrous economic plans driving the cost. All of them will.
The only loser will be the consumer
Yeah ill take the benefits of a dedicated platform like SteamOS for a handheld over just general Windows any day on the Steam Deck. Way more gained than lost to me personally by having a streamlined experience that is simple, clean and just works for gaming.
I cant even imagine trying to play a twitch shooter on my OLED anyway
I also wonder if there is some manufacturing cost savings somewhere. Being able to mass produce boxes that are a more "standard" size might open up possibilities that were more expensive/challenging with the more unique size of Switch games.
Idk, just cant believe they would do it purely for visual differentiation from the prior gen.
lol. nothing like seeing a “he/him” text on screen to seriously rile up the snowflakes.
I bet you get upset when manuals have languages other than just English in them too.
I had nearly heard about it and definitely had no idea it even released. Did they even ATTEMPT to market it?
Blame Sony for that fiasco, not Arrowhead developers.
"One moment the camera treats her as an unserious sex object for players to gawk at, and in the next the story presents her as a serious character whose entire arc revolves around her own sense of agency."
I know I have now aged out of this games target audience, but this is one of my biggest gripes with games of this nature. If you are trying to strike a serious tone, then don't make a virtual sex doll. Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball leaned into the goofy/ove...
I mean you aren't wrong. People are going to complain about anything
Why should someone else take a crack at one of the IPs? Look at what happened to Final Fantasy as a recent example - there is pretty clear FF fatigue setting in because they are now pumping out titles in the franchise every few years. Pumping out more games faster doesn't always make a series better.
There are plenty of options to make new games, not just create more titles in the same universe at a faster pace.
I disagree. Part of these games is the support for the mod community. If they move to releasing a "next game" every 2 or 3 years, the modding support plummets and the franchises turn into just another run of the mill RPG.
Make the games good enough to withstand the test of time, to keep people coming back to them and expanding on them with mod support.
Legion was just a boring and completely forgettable experience. Playing in London could have been neat, but the exploration was just not rewarding, and I cant even remember a single thing about the story or characters.
Im sure some Watch Dogs-esque game will come back from Ubisoft, but will probably just be even more of a GaaS dumpster-fire.
Loving the show and it 100% has me itching to boot up a FO again. The only question is whether to replay 3, NV or 4
Honestly I feel like marketing has really diminished for major game releases. Outside of gaming websites, it seems rare to see any type of hype or excitement for an upcoming release.
For sure. I hope they continue to really support it to give it true staying power.
Twitch FPS shooters and Battle Royale games have dominated multiplayer games for so long, its definitely a refreshing change of pace.
I definitely haven't had this much fun with an online shooter probably since the 360 days, so I would agree with the take.
Oh damn. speed reading for numbers and missed it right up front. 8 hours aint bad at all
So how long is the actual game then? Article didnt say.
If we are talking like 4-5 hours, sounds like a solid fit for gamepass then imo. $50 price tag means there still should be some longevity to it that doesnt just rely on "replayability"
I have a feeling its preferable if they don't
Its a bummer because the Steamdeck is actually a legit piece of hardware. IMO a great example of 'Sales doesn't reflect quality'.
Shame it didn't do better tho
